Costa Rica is the happiest country in Central America, but in neighboring Nicaragua things are far from good. Under President Ortega's regime, an influx of refugees is leaving Nicaragua in search of safety and happiness. Are they welcome in their new country of Costa Rica? And who has a right to happiness?

It's incredible there's no fear on admitting killing indigenous people. Also, the powerful statement of forgiveness will haunt those killers forever. Thanks for the report.

I have never even heard of this before. There are a lot of children from there who attend school with my grandchildren here in America. My heart aches for the families. Thank you for sharing.

I’m so happy you found this. My husband is from there and the kids even if they are born in the USA hear the stories. It helps if you understand where someone is coming from

its because the men went into the jungle and plotted with a bunch of commies to overthrow the government. Why else would a bunch of american soldiers and americans fly thousands of miles outside their country to end this crap? Americans would have rather stayed home and done drugs and listened to jimi hendrix

😢 In those years I lost my grandfather, my grandmother, the army killed them, the only one who survived was my mother.

I don’t think it’s wrong at all. In fact I think it’s perfect. They keep silent about it even in their own families

That one bit where the fucker tries to say it wasn’t a genocide because the lady is still alive has got to be some of the dumbest logic ever, like if that were true then there wouldn’t have been any genocides though out history because there’s always survivors. As someone who is part of the families of one of the victims I deadass had to take a break because I was so pissed off by that statement. I think one of the more depressing parts of this situation is that knowing that I’m American and that some of the mfs responsible for my family’s suffering could literally be living their best lives next door to me and I would never know
