VR 5 Chime in the Dandenongs! Puffing Billy Railway Anzac Special Belgrave - Gembrook | 12A

On the 25th of April 2024, Puffing Billy Railway operated their annual Anzac Day special from Belgrave to Gembrook with steam locomotive 12A which was fitted with a VR 5 chime whistle for the 'event'.
Thank you Puffing Billy for the amazing experience, and I give thanks to the Anzacs for saving our country from war.

Nice one Jamie 😀. Great cinematography on a rainy day. I was at emerald station too! I was not only there to film the train, I was also there to pay my respects to all who sacrificed themselves for peace in all the world during times of war. Lest we forget. It was a great show, seeing puffing billy with a big 5 chime steam whistle, it echoed from the mountains to the valleys as it was very loud! Keep up your steam mate. Cheers Kevig

Why did they fit the 5 chime whistle on this particular occasion? Sounds better than the single tone whistle for sure, they should fit it as the main whistle!

Love the way people ride these trains with their legs hanging out. If that was seen in the UK that railway would be instantly shut down, probably for ever.

Puffing Billy is known for this and has been since I can remember. The railway itself did get rid of the idea for a while before they brought it back. Thanks for your comment, have a nice day.
