WOW. BEAUTIFUL Mr VR 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 Zach is the one and only person who really knows how to make quality VR (story campaign) games. You can find a few good multiplayer games, but story campaign are VERY rare thing in VR. This is just AMAZING ❤ Zach and MR VR should make a game together and then we don't need to wait another 7 years to play something great again =) Maybe 3-4, but it will be worth the wait FOR SURE.

Zach is so down to earth and humble. Rare thing to find in humans nowadays. Can't imagine a vertigo game, without the atmosphere of the music he himself created. It's just MAGICAL and fits PERFECTLY. This guy is a VR MASTERPIECE

So cute to hear when he talked about his mother and how she got car sick when she didn't drive the car herself. This shows how good of a person he is. He makes VR games and will not exclude anyone from experiencing it. JUST BEAUTIFUL. The only thing Vertigo are missing is a co-op mode. I would LOVE to share and experience the beautiful world with friends.

Thanks buddy. I really didn’t do Zach and his accomplishments justice with my questions, but, better than nothing I guess :-)

@@MrVRVoice You did GREAT Mr V. You are TRULY good at this and i got all the things (I had on my mind) answered by your questions. You should do more vid's like this. You really do ask the right questions and are focused on things that can make or brake a good VR experience. Thank you SO MUCH to both of you 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 When will you start working on a game together ? After Zach's little break XD Zach's creativity and your focus on VR mechanism mixed together, sounds like the perfect mix to me.

51:26 - the bit about the boat and motion sickness. Pre-release, the waves were even bigger. This was great, but did end up being a bit glitchy, and the player would be thrown/shaken around occasionally. Obviously, that couldn't make it into live, but _maybe_ that would have triggered a few more people.
@TheBaldrickk9 ай бұрын
53:55 - ironically hilarious, in that it's right now you meet the character voiced by Anton Hand (the growth) - because Anton, despite being a VR dev for best part of a decade, still suffers from sim sickness and is a perfect example of someone who can't just "get over it"

The new Portal 2 mod is a great example of pushing boundaries - Valve have gone on record saying that they felt Portal in VR didn't meet their comfort standards. I feel this is because while playtesting is great for making sure things work well, I don't think they always get... experienced VR players doing that testing, so they have not reached that ability to deal with motion. The mod is out, I thoroughly recommend it, and for me, there are absolutely zero problems with comfort.

When Zach mentioned the original Vertigo prototype - it's accessed where you were at 1:02:03 - you got so far as to find the puzzle that accesses it, but didn't solve it.

Temper your expectations, I didn’t do this one justice or go anywhere near as in-depth with my questions as I could or should’ve considering the opportunity, I dropped the ball a bit here. Still very grateful to have the chance to chat with Zach, and hope some value can be gleaned for you.

wish we had more devs with his mentality in the industry. Hope the PSVR2 port delivers, cant wait

The main issue is VR just isnt getting the funding like flat gaming gets yet. Being a gamer from the 80s, I still truly believe VR and MR are the future of gaming. It just has to get to the point of next gen graphics and interactivity along with a very reasonable price point of entry. I understand the Quest 2 is a reasonably priced point of entry but the standard of graphics and interactivity isnt there yet with that platform.

Good interview Mr. Voice. If you are looking for another game that gets a lot of the small nuances right, Check out The Living Remain on PCVR. I actually think you can draw a lot of parallels between it and Vertigo 2. 2 person dev team (mostly 1) making a single player story driven campaign that is lengthy and focuses in on the little subconscious interactions that make VR special. Both games also borrow ideas from Alyx. And I think with a couple of tweaks, The Living Remain can be right up there with the Vertigo series.

@@MrVRVoice it could be a really cool interview for you to do. It’s a husband and wife team! I don’t want to come off as self promotion here, but I did a video on it recently, so if you want look more into it, check it out. But either way it really strikes me as your kind of game.

I was wondering... Will there also be a "Vertigo 2 remastered", with even better texture packs ? I would love to have an eye candy version, that pushes my graphics card to it's breaking point. A solid PCVR focused experience only, when everything is pushed to the maximum.
@FlorianFahrenberger3 ай бұрын
That's kind of the same question as "will there be a Vertigo 3". 😅 Vertigo Remastered did get some texture overhauls, yes, but the main difference is that the new version is running entirely on the same engine and code as Vertigo 2. So it's sort of a "side effect" of Vertigo 2 being developed.
