I recently discovered "Father Knows Best" on a local channel. I enjoy all the episodes, but found Bud to be the most compelling character by far. Billy Gray brings so much talent to the role in my opinion.

This is excellent!! I love Billy Gray. He was a wonderful and very natural, believable actor, with equal ability in both comedic and dramatic situations. He always steals the show for me on Father Knows Best(?) !! 😉 It was a well directed show because all of the players were good (including most guests) but I think overall that he, then Robert Young and Jane Wyatt were the strongest.

The mark of a skilled (and schooled) interviewer is to ask his subject to expound on several of the lesser known aspect of his career, and that's exactly what Ghosty does in this interview with the legendary Billy Gray. Ghosty, and his weekly "Vintage Rock and Pop Show" both provide a great service in chronicling the lives and careers of many of our most beloved and well-remembered entertainers. I hope Ghosty's work, and weekly show, both go one for MANY years to come! And what a great guest Billy Gray was. He is an absolute credit to the industry.

Good interview, especially Billy's reflections about Doris Day and Barbara S. Too bad there were no questions about Billy's appearance on the ""Adventures of Superman" in 1953; it would've been great to hear him talk about working with George Reeves and the cast.

Nice to hear Billy Gray comment on his two films with Doris Day. I thought he was wonderful in both. And a nice surprise to discover he also worked with my favorite actress, Miss Barbara Stanwyck and that she treated him so well, as she did many in the industry. As Bud on "Father Knows Best" (But according to "Roseanne", Father knows SQUAT) he was quite entertaining and often surprised viewers with some spontaneous athletic (nimble) feat. As far as "The Day The Earth Stood Still". I'm surprised he values his role here seemingly above all other roles he played. To me it just did not display his talents as well as other vehicles. God Bless you, Billy Gray; hope your life goes well until you reach your next level of existence -- and then I hope it goes even better. You have been a bright spot in so many lives.

I love Billy Gray! Always have. He’s so cute and such a natural actor. Imagine little Billy onscreen supporting such famous actors! And who knew he’s a racer and inventor? Really impressive. ❤️❤️❤️

Billy Gray may have been my favorite 'young son' on any of those Sit-com family shows. He always seemed so real on "Father Knows Best".. "Bud Anderson was not a perfect young man. But he had a dad who could always straighten him out. This show may seem old-fashioned by yoday's standards, but TODAY's standards are no good anyway, And that's the truth.

Billy Gray was the star on FNB. Everyone else was support. Love him even more for his love of pot. I expect he still enjoys, to this day.

He's 80 in this clip. He sounds the same like when on FKB.
