Some aspects of the game play are very enticing. However, I have to say, I don't know how many times, or how loudly I yelled to Meg, "It's flying...it's above you...SHOOT IT!" Heheheh... Maybe they need a flying stand to denote where the creatures are in relation to the hunters.

This is a prefect example of the problem with Adventure board games. Meg obviously didn't want to kill the birds but the game required it. Why would she keep playing if she isn't having fun or able to do what she wants. Designers and creators need to devise ways for players to make their own decisions. I for one am tired of being limited in my responses in adventures.

I don't think every game can accommodate every desire...a skirmish game involves combat...if you don't want to fight it might not be a genre for you.

@@BoardGameCo Sure, I get that it's a game, but isn't Vrahode supposed to be an epic adventure, an RPG in a Box? Seems like, once again, it is just another game of rebranded combat.

I know this probably comes across as nit-picky, but the player boards really put me off the game. I don't like putting my cards in slots like that, and the raised stand seems unnecessary.

Unfortunately, these campaign/RPG/scenario games are a dime a dozen and at this point, if they don't have anything that sets them apart, I'm out

But my dreams of more Hero Quest as a kid makes me want so many! I almost have enough to change my full time job to solo rpg tabletop player and then I can retire if I mainly eat rice beans and broccoli. Not sure how much I'll get paid for that or who is paying.

Here's a summary from the KS: Gorgeous player boards and no set up unique maps, solid price, and appetizer for much larger projects in the setting with multi dimensional maps to traverse :)
