for those who have problems with the audio playing when the emote isnt toggled anymore, go where you set up the aduio, and the transition from the audio to "exit" set the parameter from "VRCEmote equals (your emote number)" to "VRCEmote Not Equals (your number)" and make sure the exist time is set to 0.

yes, you will 100% need to change the value of the emote. each emote you add needs a unique-unused value

the model I'm trying to use doesn't have a thing in the action box, it just has "default action", clicking it shows "none (runtime animator controller)" I can't find anything on how to add one to an avatar that doesn't have it. The avatar works fine in game, it just has the default emotes.

VRCSDK should have a base you can use, if not you can make your own via rightclicking an empty spot in your file heirarchy and then selecting animation > new layer i believe

Hi! Your video really helped me a lot! But I have one slight problem. When I click play on Unity when testing the music, or if I'm resetting my full body tracking when using the avatar, it plays all the music at once. But when I'm on Unity and I click GestureManager, they all stop playing. So it's just all the music playing when im configuring my FBT. Any way to fix this?

Hello! This seems like a really good tutorial. There's only one problem that I have, however. I don't have an action layer, so I have to use the one provided in the VRCSDK. However, for some reason, my project doesn't include VRCSDK. It seems that I have been editing my avatar in Unity without it. So, I would have to import VRCSDK into the project, which, from what I've read, breaks projects. What should I do? Should I try to make my own action layer, or import VRCSDK anyway just so I can get the file (I believe it's called vrc_AvatarV3ActionLayer 1.controller)?

Think the sound connected to exit should be NotEqual 100 instead of Equal 100, so Any State - Equal 100 - DanceOn - NotEqual 100 - Exit

If your avatar does not come with one, you can use the base VRChat one. Click on the grey bar to customize, search "action" and select the one from vrchat!

Really not sure whats going on, followed this to the point and the toggle just wont work. Added the animation in the gesture manager test animation and it doesnt work there as well. If I hit play, however and go into my Layers, and set the paramater integer manually and go back to the scene my avatar is dancing? Figured it was just a unity problem so i uploaded and it just doesnt work at all in VRC either... Yes: I have checked the toggle in my menu to make sure its using the correct paramater and inetger number over a dozen times. Other things I tried: Making this a Bool instead of an integer, once again works if i manually enable the bool after hitting play and going into layers. however toggle just doesnt work.

Hello! I just found your channel and found some of your videos helpful! I'm wondering if you could do a tutorial with adding more dances while having Gogo Loco since they both use the same playable layers (Action) . Some people use 3.0 Manager plugin in Unity to combine them both but when I did it it slightly broke my avatar's animation when using custom dance animations that isn't inside Gogo Loco (I never found the problem that was causing it) But I just wanna know how to properly set it up without anything interfering with each other and breaking.

nevermind! what you have to do is make the toggle and go into gogo's action then go into the animator tab and go into Standing emotes and replace one of the animations that isnt already being used. then the rest of the set up is normal.

You should start the video explaining where in the process someone should be at before starting. Because right off the bat you start talking about the action layer and yours is already set up and ready to go. I had to do some separate research outside of your video to figure out how to catch up. You are also assuming that people watching the videos have the same level of knowledge as you on a lot of these subjects. As you only tell us what to do, never explaining what it is or how it works.

Gogo replaces your action layer, so you need to edit gogos action layer before vrcfury merges it. There are plenty of documents and resources on how to do so on both VRCFurys discord/website and GoGoLocos discord/website

Try using VRChats default layers, they include them The point of bleed out stand, is to bleed / smoothe out the animation either before or after to make the toggle seem more natural It also gives your trackers permission to take back control after the animation is done

@OrionaHeart I ended up with weird results using GogoLoco, but might have found the fix. This tutorial works going into the animation, but leaving it causes some problems. I skipped BlendOut and went directly to RestoreTracking. This led to my avatar's legs and hands becoming static (although visemes still worked), so I had to reset the avatar each time I used an emote, which isn't ideal. Adding BlendOut fixed this. It's still there, but hidden in an avatar mask? (no idea what that is by the way). I Double-Clicked on [StandingEmotes], and from there copied [BlendOutStand] and pasted it into the same place used in the tutorial. Hopefully it's in the same place for you depending on GogoLoco version. Also, initially the animation was only effecting the legs, and proceeded to break my avatars spine in multiple places. I had to manually add the VRC Animator Tracking Control on [PrepareStanding/Dance], and check the Animation column. For good measure I also did this on RestoreTracking > tick tracking column. Hopefully this made some sort of sense - I'm very new to Unity

does your music toggle have double true? instead of true and false

yes it was followed as in the tutorial but it will still play audio when the dance aint toggled

@@-NuroMitilk- that doesnt answer the question, my tutorial is a little flawed as i messed up the true/false ending. check in your project and see if both are set to true or if its true/false

You may have set up your end state wrong, or may have a collider already there. Try debugging your avatar in unity
