Enjoyed the show, guys. Kudos to the Hellsweeper VR devs for publicly discussing some of the issues, and benefits, of implementing DFR on PSVR 2. Now I hope the Madison developers can share how they made a super dark game on PSVR 2 without any noticeable mura aside from the red light scenes (according to everyone I've heard who's played it).

My favorite part of the show was, while talking about the visual improvements settings of Asgard's Wrath 2, Ruuts had a little snarky remark "You could almost do that with shadows" [})

I think the Batman games sounds great, but I have to mention that Dragon Fist Kung Fu does shadows in mixed reality. It is pretty amazing to see the shadow of the kung-fighter I am playing in my living room. On the issue of VR games, I think the late 24 line-up will sell both headsets and get a lot of people to join the VR community.

I own this but haven’t played it since shortly after launch. A buddy of mine and his wife have really gotten into this and made me curious. I recently started back playing fallout 4 on ps5 after the enhanced update and having fun. I may jump back into this to see

Looking forward to Thrasher. Shame it hasn't been announced for PSVR2. Thumper on PSVR2 was the best version for me, and this looks like another game that would really pop on OLED. The kick in the teeth though - they're releasing this on Apple Vision Pro, but not PSVR2 which surely must have a larger userbase...

Looks like it is controlled with hand tracking rather than controllers so wouldn't really suit psvr2, apart from graphically which it would shine on psvr2.

@@iwantalot It uses controllers as well (has to since it's getting a PC release). And given the choice, I'll use controllers anyway, since hand tracking (for me personally) simply isn't responsive enough. Visuals aside, I'd have preferred it on PSVR2 as well for the haptics (Thumper and Res Infinite were both great for that as well).

Excited to see a Batman game made for VR. Enjoyed seeing Ryan Payton's description of how a player will embody Batman-not just in how shadows are cast on the environment, but how a player can look down and see the full suit. Hoping to see some real gameplay footage for Batman: Arkham Shadow at some point. I didn't realize Green Hell was going to be able to be played with up to four players for both Survival Mode and Story Mode. Curious to see how this works when implemented. Not yet, but drivers is likely the issue. Logging into an alternate Windows install fixes it completely.

Great show. Please enter me for Journey To Foundation giveaway. Also Meta should at least support Batman on Quest Pro. It is slightly more powerful than Quest 2. Too early for it to miss out since it only released not so long ago. Maybe do tricks like turn off shadows so it works on Quest Pro. Then Ruuts can play it and then be able to call himself IAmBatman.

Nice theory why sony may come out with astrobots 2 a while after it launches on flat screen. Sorry it ain't happening l. Sony is clear about not supporting the psvr2. Every 6 months someone will say it will be in the next 6 months or something like that. If you believe that may happen maybe you should pre order the decker.

Why are you assuming that's what Sonys doing? I think they should've gave yall ungrateful newbies 2 Exclusives a year instead of 6 in 2023 then yall wouldn't be complaining trying to depress everyone. I for one am more hyped about VR then ever with Alien, Metro, Behemoth & Zombie Army all coming in the next 6 months

@@Alien_isolationist Thanks for the polite reply, happy to have a level headed discussion. Yes I'm a newbie having only PSVR1, Quest 3 and PSVR2, never a PC Headset. Yes I'm very excited for majority of those games you listed. How long after those releases before they follow up from other 3rd Party games? I believe not making any Sony 1st party titles shows lack of commitment. Happy for them to be flat and VR versions, but give 1st party as well. Don't believe success will come just from 3rd party titles. I'll be extremely happy to be proven wrong.

@@GrandPa_BBQer_Game_Cat Synapse, Call of the Mountain, Gran Turismo 7 are 1st Party games, 3 in 1st year, & gave ya 3 more 2nd Party games, Switchback, RE 4 & RE Villiage all in 2023, & Aces of Thunder is alsomexclusive so I'm not sure where your inaccurate statements are coming from. You're not a newbie, so why are you expecting a dry industry to be so wet in year 9? I'm thrilled about Alien, Behemoth & Metro, & Zzombie Army is icig on that tripple layer cake for the next 6 months. And you can pre order Behemoth physical copy now WHAT?! Going to go into convulsions if We physical copies of the other ones mentioned. But Sony abandoned us? If nothing is announced at all in 2025 I might give you more weight / credibility in your claim, but tbh as long as 3rd party games still come its virtual freakin reality. RE9 & RE 5 are a given for 2nd Party exclusivity. Maybe b greatful Sony cares at all, given only 2 million people are even interested.

@@Alien_isolationist Fair enough. All those games you mentioned are or I'm expecting to be fantastic. As I said, I want to be wrong. End of 2025 may give a better idea. I've commented previously that PSVR2 headset would still be relevant for PS6 era.

@@GrandPa_BBQer_Game_Cat people wanted Jim Ryan fired, but when he is they expect things to get better but this is exactly what I was worried about, after he gave green lit tons of exclusives. Life is what it is, gotta accept the good & bad. Even if Sony takes a break, I'm still greatful for 2nd & 3rd party virtual reality. Of course I would like it to be more, but it can't be changed with only 2 million customers. Casuals won't buy this. Can't even get half the gamers to buy it, which is at most 30 million Playstation users...
