I really think we are only looking at the bad side. I realize that owning someone is bad, but let's remember that we never had a choice. Ejm: without the determination of the player and Frisk they could not save asriel. 2: As we know, Kris suffered from certain things like few friends and suffered from bullying and now that we intervene this is a hero, he has friends and the one who bullied him defends her. However, I believe that possession is neither good nor bad, it is necessary for the world to progress and hence your decisions apply if you solve Kris / Frisk's problems.

What’s funny is that despite what people believe the case to be Frisk might be the least determined here 😭, if you hack into deltarune you can see that the save file Kris has at the start of the game was made in the lightworld since if you hack and save in the light world the save looks like that, that would just be a detail except for the fact they make another one in chapter 2 and the player CANNOT do that, meaning Kris is canonically more determined than the player and they even have the feats of creating fountains which might be impressive or might not, therefore if more determined than the player they would be more determined than frisk who is just an empty vessel, for the argument of “pacifist route frisk” that’s situational and logically in a similar situation that sparks as much emotion Kris’s peak would surpass frisk’s peak since base to base goes to Kris

@@matias3542 That's where you're mistaken. Lemme go a little Game Theory on you: The soul we see in the game isn't Frisk or Kris's soul, it's OUR soul. It's the player putting themselves into the game. I actually think that in Undertale, Frisk died from the fall into the Underground, and that allowed us to possess them. Chara's soul, meanwhile, was destroyed along with Asriel's, and we haven't seen whether or not Kris actually has a soul at all. Additionally, though Frisk and Kris do look alike, Frisk was only adopted by Toriel and Asgore after they got divorced. Kris has been in the family for a while, as evidenced by Asgore being familiar with Kris when you visit his flower shop. Frisk was born in the human world after they got divorced, so the timeline wouldn't match up. In the Deltarune canon, Frisk and even Chara were either never born or were killed like the rest of the humans. As I said before, we don't yet know why Kris was spared, but I imagine that it's because of this simple fact: one human can't reproduce by itself, and they'll eventually die of old age anyway. They saw no reason to annihilate every one of them, so they decided to spare the only one that wasn't dangerous: the last one. Of course, the joke's on them since you only need one human to cause a genocide...

I GOT IT. (SPOILERS FOR DELTARUNE, AND UNDERTLAE) in undertake if you do the genocide route, (possibly canon route???) after you kill flowey, chara will appear and monologue. after which they will say: “Let us destroy this world, and move on to the next.” now, in an interview with toby fox, he was asked when in the undertale timeline deltarune is, and toby responded with: “Deltarune is not in the same world as undertale.” looking back at chara’s statement of this “next world” we can conclude that the events in deltarune are possibly “the next world”. now this is all theory, but with more evidence, this actually makes sense. take gaster for example; in undertale, we know that W.D Gaster made the core. we also know that he fell in the core. and he never came back. so maybe after he fell in the core, he somehow happened to get transported into the deltarune world, and got trapped there? remember, this is all speculation, BUT, all the characters from undertale are here as well, except for one, toriel, napstablook, sans, papyrus (not ingame but still mentioned), undyne, alphys, mettaton, (in the blue ghost house) asgore, and asriel (AKA flowey). weird right? well everyone is here except for one, GASTER. we know gaster exists in undertale, but we aren’t positive about him being in deltarune, right? well, i have (mediocre) proof of him being here. you know how there’s that one tree in both chapter one and two, the one that has a random chance of spawning in between rooms? if you go to the back of it, you’ll find a man, who gives you an egg. not really anything special, right? well if you look at gaster, he ALSO appears in between rooms. he ALSO has white circles on him. many thought of those circles to be hands, but they sort of look like eggs as well. eggs that have no use other than putting them somewhere in the light world. maybe in the final chapter if you get all the eggs and put them in their respective places, something will happen? i dont know. but anyway, if you look back at what i said earlier, about the “next world” maybe we are looking through someones eyes. chara’s eyes. and remember, chara did potentially take frisk’s SOUL. now maybe chara took this soul, found a victim, (kris) put it in their body, and waited. now, kri themselves are a fairly violent child, because in the end of chapter 1 and 2, we see them ripping their heart out, and doing something. we don’t know exactly what, but in chapter 1, they pull out a knife, and went down to go eat the entire pie. not to bad right, in chapter 2, kris plunges a knife into the floor of his home, then the screen cuts to black. now, notice how we cant see what kris does after he rips out his soul. we can only look at the screen he ripped it out in. maybe chara needs this soul in order to control kris. im not sure. but it does make sense to me. but hey, that’s just a theory, a GAAAM- welp thanks for reading this comment. im bot sure if im right but we’ll see (hopefully) that took me twenty minutes so thank you for reading.

kris, usually depicted as being controlled by just a culmination of the player, not a different vessel. but this gives it new meaning. who knows, maybe deltarune isnt connected to undertale timeline-or story wise, but could it be…? there could be more extent to what determination can do, like search for vessels even across timelines. say frisk betrays chara, and resets. chara instead takes over kris, and now theres no chara to confront them at the end of the genocide route. say chara finds kris while he takes his soul out, so his real soul, the player, is just locked there. then, a player can do genocide or no mercy for whatever the heck this chapter could give like this, and then get confronted by chara. i dont know how both of them could get in the same timeline, (kris and frisk) but i think this is a good backbone to the story.

@@grimmsoul3096 obviously. Deltarune rakes place in an alternate reality where the war against humans and monsters either never happened, or all the humans were destroyed. If we're going with the former option, then the scenario above might make sense if not for the fact that (1) Chara was born at about the same time Kris was, and (2) Frisk was born at least a hundred years later as evidenced by the timeline of Undertale. The latter option makes more sense to be the canon: all the humans were destroyed except for Kris, and since one human can't reproduce on its own, the monsters found no reason to kill him, and instead, Toriel and Asgore adopted him. This brings me to my first comment: "somewhat inaccurate, since all the humans except for Kris are dead" . The only way this scenario would actually happen is if Chara and Frisk's SOULs came back from the dead. Hence the unlikeliness. Thank you for your time, have a great day, and stay determined.
