My helmet REALLY needed some attention. So gross haha.

I normally just chuck all the internal padding in the washing machine on a delicate wash. But I am lazy.

I was sooo tempted to do that but I wasn't sure if it would destroy the padding. Good to know for next time though 😊

This past week, started to clean my helmet and realized the liner/padding was just about shot...then realized my helmet is 9 years old...so finally ordered a new one...coming today...can't wait! Oh, Stacey!! You crack me up!! 😂 No, I have never put that liner on my head but I will have to do it when I go to wash it the next time!!

@@TheVSChick ok! Can call this the Stacey helmet liner challenge... Who wore it best and you and Rebel Rider can judge lol! I got an updated version of my Shoei... I had the neo tec one and now I have the neo tec 2. Fits my head shape and it's a modular... It's flat black versus glossy black which was my old one. I'm going to bring it up with some holographic stickers and I ordered some Swarovski crystals... Guess what color? 😂😂😂

I'm guessing you don't ever ride with your visor open then!? Haha! That would be an experience 😬😅 One time I had a bug fly into my helmet and then it stung my cheek. It was NOT a happy time!! I was on the highway on my ninja with no where to stop. 😭

@@TheVSChick oh, I do and each time, after a bug slaps me in my face, I ask myself; "Why?" I even had a bug knock me on my cheek and I thought it died, nope; it was still alive hanging out in the chin curtain and then flew back into my helmet. Good times‼️

I absolutely love it. I'm actually looking at buying another one to replace it. I'd rather go with a brand that I know fits well than gamble on something different. The shark is light, comfortable and cuts out heaps of wind noise. I love the internal visor too. 🤘

Did the helmet start to smell like a teenager's bedroom?😁😫. I've done that in the past, the only issue I have is once those bloody little clips that hold the liner to the inner helmet are detached they don't stay firmly clipped again and keep coming undone........maybe it's just me. Hope they hold for ya. Cheers

I agree with those little clips being tough to put back. First you have to kine then up and no matter how hard you push, they just won't clip in. Ugh!

They were definitely a challenge but I heard 3 distinct snaps into place so I'm hoping that's a good sign! And yeah.... didn't smell the best, I wouldn't go as far as a teenager's bedroom, but it had potential!

this freaks me out! just last week, i was smelling something funky while putting on my riding gear. my first thought was time to clean the helmet. got on YT to watch some video's, proper way to clean a helmet. long story short, my gloves stank!!! not the helmet. TIP, don't pet a wet dog, or pet a dog when your gloves are wet!! so i scrubbed my gloves. i am still going to clean the helmet, just have to find the time to let it dry. and finally, i am giving my bike a good wash and shine. it is soooo dirty from riding in the rain. oh yeah, i bought a set of Frog Toggs(cheap Amazon) rain suit. no pockers anywhere, but it works, even in down pour. now i have to buy booties to keep my feet dry. best wishes, be safe.
