VS Commodore At Home Driveway Rear Respray

The back end of the VS has been hard to look at. So I decided to take an attempt to straiten and respray the back of the car. I really don't know what I'm doing

Proffesional painter here of 29 years and still in the trade ,, thats how i started off back in the early 90s in my parents backyard ,xc and xd falcons were our cheapies back then,brings back memories ,good on you for having a go .

Thanks. I was a bit disappointed with the first outcome. But with half a day of wet sanding and polish it came up good.

Has she got the usual boot leak? In case you don't know, the rear quarter windows are usually to blame. Remove them and reseal with mastic sealer.

Thankyou I didn't know. Every time I open the boot in the rain I get my own water fall.

@@Joedennett69 No worries. Be very careful removing them. The plastic tags are old and break easy. And use the correct mastic type sealer. If you sikaflex them in you'll never be able to remove them again. Also check the seals on the lights. Only other place for a leak is if rust is setting in around the rear window.

Mate see how your priming the car and bumper dont you need to get primer that flexes for the bumper it will crack n fall off

Is yours IRS? And what springs are you running?

No the car has a solid axle and my springs are 1 coil chopped. No Difference in ride quality.
