highest i ever got was air eater to rear admiral and he only got two out of his 3 abilities, not including hidden abilities which are not stated those can range from finding hidden cards on certain duelist's fields, to extra slots in the graveyard slot machine

usually the higher stars the monster has, the less abilities it will get somtimes it depends on species too like insect, fairy and plant monsters can get up to 5 abilites

oh and also is the best way to promote one is use him a lot like for example i want to make dark magician my team leader all i have to do is battle and beat most of the opponents monsters with it also have it face up? because i was thinking of battling rex and weevil at the start to get a card promoted and also what if he gets a star and doesnt get a ability? and can it keep getting more stars even if he is your deck leader because Seraphs22x's deck leader has 3 stars and he hasnt used him

have them faced up on field, attack leader directly, win battles and the more of that monster on the field faced up, the better and for how many turns u lose exp for them if they die

lemme revise the list, u get the most exp when: having mulitple copies of the monster faced up on field for every turn having it as a deck leader winning battles u lose exp for them when they die or u discard them from ur hand

seraph doesnt seem to like dl abilities, mainly cuz they r VERY time consuming to get dark magician gets 3abilities and u gotta put a lot of time ranking him up i would say go to custom duels and get three more copies of him u will want three dark magicians faced up on field power them up to the max, and kill everything, then corner the other deck leader when he runs out of cards, then just let the turns pass until the final turn where u attack him directly set summoning points and lf to the max

The way that I beat him was with the Great Moth. I'd nerf his field from afar. You appear to have done the inverse, and buffed your field. Is that pretty much the only way to beat him? A strategy such as this?

You can use mind control cards on him too. Or Just Desserts since he likes to put plenty of cards on the field. By far that is the easiest (any card that takes Life Points really). You can also ham it up until Exodia is drawn.

Just Desserts can be gotten be recarnarnating extremely high DC cards, but the best chances seem to be magic or trap cards. I got one reincarnating one shadow of eyes. I don’t know if it’s a slot rare too.
