The other thing about time travel that kills me is the fact that the Earth is moving through its orbit, so maybe space along the orbital path is filled with the bodies of successful time travelers that didn't take into account the fact that the Earth isn't stationary.

Along with the solar system because yeah even that moves, along with our galaxy and even our entire universe is expanding So not only would you need to calculate the earth’s orbit but also the movement of the entire solar system and predict where the planet should be in the future or used to be in the past One wrong number in the calculation and you’ll become space corpse in the year 2084 I wonder if people in that time will even know what KZbin is... or if they’ll ever see this comment Who knows most likely not

The position of the Earth, indeed the whole Solar System, within the Milky Way, right now or in 1985, is not the same as it was in 1955. Watching this video... First off, the loop is necessary. If you (the person) does not go back to 1955, you would have never ended up in that timeline, and just like Marty, you fade away, because the timeline from that present to the past to the future does not exist anymore. And if you DO survive, you now have 2 copies of yourself existing in the same world, so either you have to die, or your clone does, which leads up to you dying. Second off, while the loop exists, it is only a temporary thing. Said loop does not exist in the future, so nearly a year later the situation would be avoided, as long as you dont go back to 1955 or 1985. Third off, Doc was wearing gloves so he wouldn't get electrocuted. Electricity does now flow through rubber.

13:52 And that's the biggest electrical misconception of all time. "Electricity takes the path of least resistance." False, if that were true, then parallel circuits wouldn't exist and if you have a parallel circuit with say 5 light bulbs, only one would light up, (the one with the least resistance). But they ALL light up, meaning that electricity will take all paths still. The correct statement is, "Electricity will take the path of NO resistance." Again in this example, if you create a 6th branch of that parallel circuit with just wiring and no bulb (basically no resistance) then all the current will take that branch and none of the 5 lights will light up. Even then the statement isn't fully true because a few electrons will still flow through the other 5 circuits, just not enough to light the bulbs up because 99.99999% of the electricity is flowing through that short circuit.

If that note had worked: Either there would be two Jakes in the present, if time travel uses the alternate reality time-line approach, because the second Jake would never leave the present. Or the current Jake would cease to exist because he never went back in time, couldn't have wrote the note, and the second Jake would be the first one in the loop. Or paradoxes are resolved in a manner such that anything that could possibly affect the past is something that already happened, so the time travel is needed to fulfill the bootstrap paradox.

OMG sir, you guys are awesome! The only thing I didn't understand was how the Doc was the same age in 1955 & 1985, but Christopher Lloyd looked the same way in the film I suppose lol. Second, she had a pocket device in 1955 which would've been impossible, unless you consider the point of origin idea like you mentioned. Either way I loved this video! Very entertaining and the teacher from Montana as a guest? Very cool! This video reminded me of Myth Busters I love those guys! I grew up with Back to the Future and I have one of those little scale model cars from part 2. I was thinking of making my own video with that. Awesome sir I love this! I was paying attention to the music because I'm a published composer and it sounds very lovely

Great Scott! It's Jake, from State Farm! Well made/produced video. Great information as well... but this is why you have suspension of disbelief when you watch a movie. Even those "based on a true story" are so Hollywood-ized you still have to have the suspension of disbelief.
