*VSG Pre-op* Less than 1 week until surgery!

Hi lovely people!
I'm here to share my experience before and mostly after I get the vertical sleeve gastrectomy (VSG) surgery that I will be having 1/2/2018. This is really just an introductory video talking a bit about my process pre-op, but expect more videos after!

Welcome to the WLS family! I had VSG 6 years ago and I basically do your pre-op diet as my maintenance diet. If you keep your carbs at 20 or below you will definitely prefers your diabetes. It is so much easier to do when you don’t have much of an appetite. I’m excited to follow you on your journey!

Congrats to you Grace on your decision to change your life for the better!! I am 48 and I’m 5’2” and started on Jan 2 2017 at 344.6. I had traditional DS surgery in Feb and prior to my latest surgery on Dec 19th for a hip replacement revision I was 168 (I have gained swelling and fluid weight from the surgery). Great intro video to you and your journey. This next year will bring so many changes physically and mentally. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to this community, it’s amazing!

Question! :) Did you have your surgery at UMC in New Orleans? I'm from Laf and have been unsuccessful in finding out reviews/experiences from that hospital. Sounds like you had a great experience with your surgeon & team, so I'm hoping it was there!
