At 1:57, Ren probably meant "ignoring the quadrilateral, you can extend a straight line from the triangle shape, and get the angle accordingly". Blame me for not understanding what she tried to explain... Sorry for the confusion! EDIT: I gave up on this. Sorry! I am considering maybe doing the science part as well if I have the time and energy to do so... Language (Japanese) and society I'm not doing because it's too difficult to translate without adding translation notes to everything, English I'm not doing because... well, you understand English so just go watch the original source.

Maybe she means draw a straight line down so you get a triangle and a rectangle, then it's easy to find from that? (180-other triangle angles, 360-other rectangle angles, add together) Although it's way easier to just subtract everything from 360 first, I think she said that because some VSPO members might not know any quadrilateral interior angle total=360

I think an easier way is to extend the diagonal line upwards since the angles on the left side above the horizontal lines will be the same. Hence, 180-58=122#.

Only got the Pemdas and fraction thingy right :< 5:48 Pretty sure I would've brute forced it too, I remember doing this in an offline game where I had to find out the lock code and I didn't have internet during the time so I listed everything on a paper haha

Lock code? pretty sure that's , scales worse man. Doing it with cards that cannot be reused so each digit is unique makes the calculation a LOT more smaller. If there can be absolute repeats (adn even worse, from 1-9) then you end up with 9*9*9*9 (or replace with 10 If zero was usable). Good luck writing all of those permutations in a lifetime LMAO

I didn't get why they said somethjing about drawing a triangle, all you need to know is that a "straight line" is 180 degrees, so you end up doing this (i.imgur.com/R58FprD.png), literally just draw a straight line to complete the "straight" line and you can just play off with 180 degrees as a base from there

Upon relistening to what Ren said, I do believe that (your method) is what she meant... She said "extend a straight line" which I misunderstood as one vertical line downwards. Sorry for the confusion!

@@r_subs ​ I am unsure what Ren said, since I see no point in "taking the square out of the shape" to solve this problem. 1st, straight forwards method) The sum of interior angle = (no. of side - 2) * 180, (4 - 2) * 180 = 360 360 - 90 * 2 - 58 = 122 2nd, it might be what she is trying to say for "extend a straight line", but a bit too unnecessary for this question) Given that there are two right angles, we can assume the line on top and bottom of this polygon is parallel. The angle of a straight line is 180; therefore if we were to extend the leftmost slant line downward, the angle formed on the other side of 58 would be 180 - 58 = 122 Since the corresponding angle equal to one another, A will also = 122 (Or you could just use "co-interior angle = 180", and don't bother with extending the line in the first place, but this is still unnecessary compared to the first method)
