This is the only Video I can find that shows replacing the Solenoid o-ring, thank for this, I don't speak the language but I understood . Is there a Honda part Number available for o-ring ? My plan tomorrow is to find a o-ring at the Hydraulic shop.. I suspect this is where my oil leak is coming from as I have already replaced Valve gasket and rocker cover seal.

Ung small Oring ay para sa isang bolt boss. May isang bolt sa spool valve na hindi nyo nakalas.

sory i dont speak tagalog or bisaya, but im in cebu and been struggling with a 2003 crv. the little oring you showed is actualy the oring for the VTC solenoid. the typical kit comes with VTEC soenoid gasket, VTC solenoid ORING and VTC strainer gasket. I dont recommend trying to repair that round gasket between the solenoid and solenoid body. mine was cracked and i tried this trick a few months back (never saw this video). ever since, myu car has been running likea pig after it warms up, its like the solenoid is not able to close propperly, and beacuse the PH models dont have a vtec solenoid oil pressur eswithc, there is nothing to tell the ECU that anyuthign is wrong, so you dont get any engine trouble codes, it just runs like crap. I figure those 2 hex bolts are on frikn tight because they know if u undo them, our vtec will never ever work properly ever again. i think its both the incredibly precise allignment of the plunger into the littel hole, plust the precision engineered thickness of that original gasket, which is not an oring, rather a very precise machines piece of solid polymer. Its nice to see someone else out there with the balls to take it apart fully and put in the effort to try to fix it, but i can sepak from expereince now, i tried it and failed. Maybe some will have success, BUT NOT ME :/

Unfortunately, theses are your bodge grease monkeys. If you notice that they torque the pressure switch to 104lb of torque! Which should be only at 12nm (9 foot pounds). It's even tighter that the wheels lugnuts which is only about 85-90nm. Im actually surprised that they didn't break the head of the bolt. This is what customers get when they prefer quantity over quality. Not hating though, it's just a shame that they don't try to learn basics when information is literally on their fingertips (smartphones).

@@Ghetto109 Seems like they quoted in inch-pounds not ft-lbs. Technically 104 in-lb is about 9ft-lbs. I want to know what torque they used for the star bolts on the top.

May nabibili naman po ng pang thread. Subukan I thread ang same size. Kung hindi na kaya, resize ng magaspang konte na thread and replace bolt.

Make sure boss sa spool valve ang tagas. Sa bandang ilalim kase, sa mga Honda na modelo, may camtrust sa ilalim NG air cleaner meron ding valve cover gasket.

@@jherfixph8050 nagkaroon kasi ng leak yung vtec solenoid dati eh umorder ako sa casa mismo ng vtec solenoid gasket and filter and sinama ko na ang o-ring kaso nung ipagawa ko na dito eh di namin pinilit yung para sa camshaft oring kaya di nlng namin ginawa. Ngayon after months nagkaroon na ng leak ang camshaft problema kami di namin alam buksan lods. Patulong naman

Kung pang honda city,civic FD Tanggalin mo air cleaner housing Tanggalin ang 2 10mm bolts SA gilid Ng wire housing at isang 12mm para SA bracket. Tanggalin Lang Yung MGA ibang socket na pwede mong Maharat Ng konte ang wire housing SA gilid. Meron din nakasabit na MGA bracket dun. Tanggalin Lang Or sundutin. 2 bolt 10mm para SA pabilog na Hugis SA camshaft. Sana nakatulong. Mahirap SA comment maganda may video.

I would go to a hydraulics supply shop or any decent garage with the valve and old o ring , they will help you select the correct a o-ring that fits correctly.
