@cliffordbodine58343 жыл бұрын
Oh yes! I had to change my knock sensor on our 04 CRV and it was almost impossible because of the tight clearance. Ended up finger-tightening for starters with the very tips of my fingers, then finishing with a wrench. What a mess.

This was a surprisingly easy fix! Having a mirror definitely helped. For me the hardest part was getting the wire off that are zipped tied to the bracket. I used my cordless 3/8 ratchet loosed it by hand then the zipped it off. I used a 1/4" socket with a short extension to put it back.

Not sure about space in CRV, but for Accord definitely open those 3 bolts from underneath while front of the car is raised on jack stands. You need to drain engine oil and remove oil filter to have space and view. Those 10mm bolts are very tight and can easily get rounded up!

@kfrerix97774 жыл бұрын
Never use "magic sockets" or "gator grips" for anything that is very tight. When confronting a really tight nut or bolt, there's no substitute for a quality wrench or socket. I would bet that a snap-on brand socket will still remove that badly rounded bolt head. They're really that much better. I keep snap-on in the most common sizes.

Why do you need to replaced this part,what is the symptom?
@1AAuto4 жыл бұрын
+Nilo Lee Check Engine Light comes on. Since today's modern cars are controlled by an Engine Control Unit (ECU), virtually all individual components are monitored by the ECU. Engine oil is dirty. This is more of a cause as opposed to a symptom. Rough engine idle. Decrease in fuel economy.

I am about to spend close to 1,000 at this website and the v-tec solenoid is one of them.. When i am driving "not always" but the vsa light will pop on and another warning signal too. Then i lose the ability to go faster. Like if i am going 65 down a highway and the vsa light comes on and i have to slow down for any reason it will not allow me to resume my speed after i slow down. then it clunks and bogs out until i pull over and put the car in park turn it off and then restart the car the vsa light is gone and i can drive as normal till it pops up again. Seems to me when it rains it comes on more often but still comes on eventually every time that i drive my 2005 Honda Crv .. will this help me by buying the solenoid or could it be something else... Please if anyone knows whats going on leave me a comment and i will read it and answer back.. Thank you
