It's nice to see the bass pedals used so superbly. Many famous jazz organists didn't bother. What a superb musician!!

Barbara's playing is great. Her footwork is just incredible. She plays bass better than most bass players! I only wish she more appreciated here in the US.
@grb11847 жыл бұрын
Elsewhere on YT is a vid of her setup. Those rigs of her's scat, scream, moan, mumble and cry. She has this keen custom midi bass thing for the fine footwork. It has a particular "attack/decay" going on with a real bass 'image'. They're a lot of very fine players the US doesn't get to see. But in the US check out the Killer, Tony Monaco... I saw him at a B-3 blast and some of the Leslie family was there. Heaven!

I really admire organists, especially of multiple manual organs which also have an unbelievable amount of stops. I don’t play any instruments so maybe I’m wrong but these instruments seem to be very complicated in every way. On the really big pipe organs, I’m in awe of the people who master those instruments. This young lady is very talented and I enjoyed this performance.

@jmsmaxwell8 жыл бұрын
Over the years I've seem some use the pedal board and some are true artist on it. I was in Germany back in the 70's in Weisbaden. there were some clubs there that had organist in them and it was amasing to watch them. There was a young lady downtown that would play every thing from Classical to Rock and Roll. Watchig her in her mini skirt moving like she had ants in her pants when she would be playing then I saw her footwork and knew why she was bouncng around so much. I saw her off and over from 68 up unto 74 and then I came stateside. I saw her a couple of times here when she was in Austin, San Antonio and also in Houston. It was wild both hands and both feet moving to bring forth he music of the organ.
