my first ending was the camarilla ending, i was a tremere too i never found out that the sarcophagus was a bomb from jack it's funny to think that camarilla keeps jack's pound of c4 in their storage thinking it would kill em all if it's opened, but it would lmao

you know, i'm not surprised that if you side with the kuei jinn that they f you over. But I didn't expect the game to go through with it. She makes it clear that she views your 'kindred' as inherently inferior. She was the face of the temple of golden virtue and the head of a criminal organization. But I expected the game to cop out and let you walk away from that mistake. I'm glad they didn't. It's true to the duplicitous nature of the character to have always thought you to be too dangerous. And also, she thinks you're literally a lower life form.

That's what I like when playing Malkavian, you get some unique dialogue lines when meeting with Ming Xiao, strongly suggesting you know much more about Kuei Jin and her than she expected. The only moment she sort of feels uncomfortable.

@@KPW2137 it's my first time playing the game actually lol. I chose to play a tremere and I just arrived at Grifith park or whatever. But when I first started my play through, I answered the questions as I normally would I got a malkavian. I was IN LOVE with it. But I kept seeing things that were telling me too much. I remember when he called someone he just met the daughters of Janus. Which I know was a roman god with 2 faces. And they weren't different people. There was also the weird use of Wizard King and Jester prince. I had the idea that the tremere leader was going to be head of the org at some point. And when I watched the endings I realized it's why he was calling him that. But I had made the Tremere when I first got to the Museum with the Malkavian. I'm going to just finish the game with him now that I know how it all ends.

It's a great game so even if you know all the endings you can still replay it and enjoy it a lot. I love the fact that nearly every replay with different clan is different. Toréador can use clubs with ease. Nosferatu, well, not quite. Gangrel have a few interesting moments and so on. No replay is the same.

VtMB vets typically advise against Malk and Nos for first playthroughs: Malk because the dialogue might be confusing and nos because of the sewer stuff. Never occurred to me how many spoilers occur through Malk insight. I'll add that to the reasons for sure.

I like how LaCroix laughs when he sees that inside was just a bunch of bombs from Jack. He can't even be mad. He lost and knows it.

I love this game so much, but the last couple hours are so hard to get through, it's like everything is just falling apart under your feet. The flaws and all the unfinished content become more and more apparent as you play, and by the time you reach the end it feels like you're playing a pre-alpha version. It really is a shame that this gem was rushed out so early, if the developer had more time to actually finish it, it could have been one of the biggest hits hits of gaming history. Also, the conversation in the taxi was such a brilliant way to summarize the entire game before it ended. It gives you a moment to collect your thoughts and take a few deep breaths before you make your final decisions.

That's so interesting, I actually really liked the endgame and didn't feel like it was unfinished! Maybe it's because the writing of the game doesn't degrade in quality and that kind of overshadows the technical flaws?

To be honest, all the endings aren't too bad, but I still like the one from the solo one from playthrough, haha.

The "Lone Wolf" ending. More knowledgeable people than I say that this is subsequent media treat this as the canon ending. I'm not 100% but that's the claim!

Thanks! He's believed to be Cain. Couple months ago I asked Brian Mitsoda for a definitive answer (it's 3 or 4 down in the community posts if you're interested). His response was that "the story is better with some mystery left in it." But most folks I encounter (including some comments to that post) feel very strongly that it's Caine for sure.

I just played it through as a loner and I KNEW not to open the sarcophagus, but first I did anyway because I wanted to see what happened... and then reload for my REAL ending where I live :D Now follows a playthrough with a Malkavian.

Sweet! Thanks for uploading. I remember after my first playthrough where I went with the Anarchs, I did all of these possible endings, starting from a save right before the cab scene. I think I did it in pretty much the same order as you put them together here ^^

If I was playing with tremere I’d go with Strauss it’s the only way to get powerful blood magic. Otherwise I’d go solo and avoid other kindred.

I ended up being betrayed by Lacroix even when I did my best to follow his every whim, so I never got the Lacroix ending.

I know everyone is convinced that the cabbie is Cain, but his aura at the end is the aura of a diabliarist. Is it possible he drank the one eye'd king's soul?

Anything is possible. They have never confirmed that it's Caine (Brian has told me that the story is better with it left unconfirmed and Leonard -- in his conversation with Tim Caine-- sort of alluded to Caine having /something/ to do with their story-- but there is a point where I'd look for a technical explanation or Wesp-based explanation. That said, don't let me stop you from tinfoil-hatting. Bloodlines is oozing with subtlety. It's also glitchy and broken at points. You never know which is which and sometimes that's part of the fun!

There are plenty of warnings that the Kue-jin aren't to be trusted. The devs gave you the option of ignoring those warnings. I think of joining Kue-jin as the Bloodlines equivalent of a low intelligence run.

Options and curiosity. Im sure there are people who would be curious of how a Kuei Jin ending would be. Also throughout the whole game you are either betrayed, attacked, insulted, manipulated or treated like a lackey by one side or the other, so pretty much everyone sucks.

Having bad endings ~great but having 'right choices' and 'wrong choices' is stupid. Every ending should have a good and bad ending to save us from the moral grand standing. LaCroix is bad so don't do that one and anarch's are good.

That's exactly the best thing bout the whole game. There is not "always a possible happy-end". There is no one who stands for the traitors, for example.

I'm not trying to take any kids anarcho fantasy but having grown up options would be nice. If you want to get all moralistic, how about displaying historically what happens to anarcho folks? Personally, I'd avoid the whole grand standing to begin with and just make a video game.

Thinbloods diablerizing kindred, new Baron of the hollywood is a diablerist + backstabber, much worse than La Croix and all Barons are known to SI and attract them, setting local kindred under a great threat.
