I think that big part of him really wanted to stay, but he couldn't - he would get to prisn or worse for his crimes, also I don't think he considered anyone to ever forgive or trust him, also he had a reputation to protect... that didn't stop his feelings tho... ;_; . . I love him as a villain, heck I love him all but I would also love to see him in more anti-hero, or like in A4O ''I'll help you cuz it will help me also I have no choice whatsoever'' role too, because hes personality would shine in anything he does, and we don't get good-mid-scientist often, or at least working on our side. I would love the good guys actually turning to him for help for some reason or just taking him as the most energetic and chaotic Q from 007. Or I just wanna see him... I love him. xD

I also hate to say this but you also missed one other thing as well, just a small thing though, not really irrelevant though as I think about it. Apparently at some point Nefarious ended up on planet Mukow and lost his wallet at the Imperial Fight Festival, as stated by Qwark during challenge.

I like to treat the Ratchet and Clank Movie as a different Timeline, from the original. It makes it soooo easy to understand VTNVIVI, so when my little brother says, "wait, that didn't happen in the game? I will tell him that it's "Another Ratchet from a different Universe" Then he will say, "Ooooooh I get it now. However sometimes I feel like I'm lying to him, but I know this has to be true. Otherwise that would make the Ratchet and Clank Movie look really dumb. lol. :)

Honestly, I see the PS4 R&C as Qwark's re-telling of events in the PS2 game. I feel like it makes more sense that way. The PS4 version plays down Ratchet's irreverent attitude in favor of a fanboyish reverence to Qwark and 'his' Galactic Rangers, includes more involvement by Nefarious (which Qwark would have as - just as this video points out - he would have been dealing with Nefarious during the events of R&C), and plays up Qwark's involvement. That, plus Ratchet seems to have re-asserted his irreverent attitude towards Qwark once the re-telling is complete and Shiv has escaped, which to me says we're back in the 'real' R&C universe, sometime post Nexus. Of course, there are some inconsistencies with this hypothesis - namely why exactly Qwark is in jail. But anything within the game proper that doesn't line up with what we already know as fans could simply be chalked up to Qwark and his...artistic license.

I mean Ratchet does have to meet his Father who's in hiding sometime in the future....I guess Insomiac is afraid that once they make a new game, explaining all that what had happened to Ratchet, that will be the end of Ratchet and Clank. Then he too, like Jak and Daxter will have to take a Final Bow, the only thing is, that Jak has a Cliff Hanger as well lol, the work is cut out for them.

Predicition: A new Ratchet & Clank for PS4 will be announced on PSX 2017, ready for prime time in Q3 or Q4 2018. If i dont know any better, it's gonna be a sequel to Into the Nexus. Keypoints: - While the biggest ever team at Insomniac is working on Spider Man #PS4 as we speak, this doesnt necessarily - or at all - rule out the possibility of other projects being worked on at the same time. - The capacity of Insomniac is not to be underestimated. I suppose their North Carolina studio is to continue the Ratchet & Clank series. The same team who seems to have released a whopping 5 games (?!) last year (Ratchet & Clank, Song of the Deep and 3 Oculus VR games)... - Additionally, Ratchet & Clank is not your typical AAA-Blockbuster. It is a high qulity game for sure, but for today's AAA-standards its relatively fast and cheap to make. Insomniac is still an efficent studio who can usually deliever these games on scedule. - The franchise is going on now for 15 years, while according to Insomniac Games every entry was profitable (enough). Now you have the PS4 re-imagining as the fastest selling game yet, breaking several sales records in various regions etc. That alone speaks volumes. Sony will definitely demand more and Insomniac is pretty passionate about creating them. Everything up to this point you probably already knew. But get this... - At past Dice Awards, Ratchet & Clank won the award fo best family game. And production director of North Carolina, Shaun Mccabbe, said something like "There are more stories to be told in that wonderful universe". Yeah, if that is not the closest thing you can have before an actual offical confirmtion, i dont know what is. Im not trying to convince you about the possibility that a new Ratchet & Clank for PS4 is currently in the works. I just wana hear your thoughts!

Insomniac will DEFINITELY continue R&C, no single doubt about that! Good points you have there! 1. Sales check! 2. Passion for the series check! 3. R&C PS4 was developed in 10 months... so like you said, IG can easily make another. Of course, 10 months still felt short to me, lack of planets and recycled weapons... The re-imagining is simply a game that was limited to the movie script.

I get your third point, but then again it was supossed to be based on the 2002 original, which is often falsely claimed to be longer than the PS4 re-imagining. The very first Ratchet & Clank game appears to be much longer than it actually is, because of how rare the checkpoints were back in the day, like just how antiquated the overall game's design really was, even compared to Ratchet & Clank 2! I was still amazed when i heard that Insomniac put this game together in just 10 months. They saved some time by switching assets for character models and environments with Rainmaker and so on. One thing they cant do anymore, but this also mean that they wont have to delay an already finished game by like half an year just because of the movie. Also, the lower price tag cant be ignored; for 40 bucks, i absolutely considered it a steal! I didnt mind the recycled weapons at all. You have these in every title, while only a few of them are really brand new. Like there is a blaster and bomb in basically every Ratchet game, but despite new looks and names, the weapon type remains the same. Other than that... i really loved using the Pixelizer! It is an amazing addition to Ratchet's arsenal and that alone was pretty much worth it. Everything considered, i still agree with your core statement about the game being limited to the movie's script. I would direct most cons i have with Ratchet & Clank PS4 to the situation of the game being handcuffed to the movie. Like some lack of character development, the god damn Fungoids showed up on nearly damn planet (LOL) and some pacing issues later on. Holy Lombax... My plan was to talk with you... about the future of the series, rather than the past! Oh well. Couldnt resist on that one. Here we go.

wow, an entire video about Nefarious, my favourite villain Ever! this video is really Great and you make a huge job to say all the important thing in 18 minutes, considering that Nefarious influences the events of quite all the Ratchet game. Well, i think that starting from the end of Tool of Destruction, the storyline of Ratchet became more interesting but Also more confusing... i mean... there are a lot of point that are not "Logic". Just for saying One that i noticed during the video: when you talking about Nefarious that torture Orvus in the past and Then Ratchet ruined the Nefarious's eye ... we see Nefarious in the present that see that scene and his eye become ruined as in the past. So i'm thinking: in theory, we would have to see the ruined eye starting from that Little scene in the end of Quest for Booty... because Ratchet have already do this in the past! (i know is hard to understand but is also hard to say this in english, so Sorry if this is not clear😅). talking from PS4 rebooting, i think is not another Universe, but is a different Storyline, because Qwark is the narrator of the events... if you think about the scene of the Prison, when Qwark know that there is a game about his errors, he is quite desperate ! So he want someone (shiv Helix) that listen to his version... so It is quite clear that the real game that Shiv show to Quark is the "true game". I'm glad you enjoyed the video! About the crack on his head, Ratchet went to the past In A Crack In time, after he discovered Nefarious through the obsidian eye. The crack was a ripple effect, one which didn't affect the future, thank the Great clock. Technically, the crack was supposed to appear way before (Quest for Booty), they just decided to make it appear after Nefarious messed with Clank at the Great Clock. We can say that's when time caught up with Nefarious, time is a very complex nature. Qwark did make up parts of the story in the re-imagining (made a small video a while ago), it was kinda confirmed by Insomniac. The movie has the actual events according to Insomniac, so I still see the movie/game as a different universe. I think spidey will be shown at e3, and it'd be sweet to have a future saga collection for the PS4 for the 15th anniversary!

btw when Nefarious used Biobliterator on metropolis why it didn't affect Ratchet? what made Ratchet immune to it? was it some of his gadgets, is Ratchet secretly a robot, his armor or was Ratchet out of range?

He has a forgivable cameo in Ratchet: Gladiator as well. It was IG snubbing Drek & shoe-horning Nefarious as main villain where he wasn't needed in the R&C reboot that was the last straw for me. Just my opinion, I understand he is the most popular villain but it seems IG can't let him go

Can please make a video about who was the best vilain of all Ratchet and clank game's? So that you rank all the game (plus movie and comic?) Vilains? And that You end wicht Nefarious and Tacyon? Beause i cant choos who of the 2 was the best vilain. Tacyon did destroy concer the galaxy and did (mabbey) Kill Ratchet's parents. But Nefarious had bigger rols in the serie as well. I'm kind of confused that Qwark was 26 in high school. I mean how is that possible that u can be in high school till 26 years old. Could Qwark be graduating at that point. Funny at my high school when seniors didn't graduate we call them super seniors. Anyway Nefarious was a dangerous enemy to face in up your arsenal, I mean Nefarious was kind of hard to beat at the first time but he was easy at times if u know his moves. In ACT of course he want revenge for what Ratchet did. What if he did use the great clock to reverse time to go back in time to where the end of up your arsenal took place. Can he save his past self from losing to Ratchet and Clank and destroy his Bioblitiator (if I spelled it right). If he did then that means that Ratchet has no chance of defeating Nefarious if that happens he might get Qwark as well since he came out and helped him and killed Qwark as well to gain his victory. Since the to heros are defeated Nefarious will finally go to Velden to use the Bioblitiator to turn every one to robots. Then the whole galaxy, including Ratchet's friends into robots as well. Then after that the future Nefarious have a choice to work with his past self or betray him to clam the past that he planned to change the future. If he betray his past self then he would planned as he wished for to make right things to go wrong and revive all the villains that Ratchet faced and destroy every hero in the galaxy and have galactic domination and also make the heros lose all the time. That is my theory if that happens if the great clock was a time machine to travel back in the past to rewrite time. Nefarious would have won everything that he wanted to be the greatest super villain of all time to finally rule over the galaxy with the help with all the revived villains that Ratchet and Qwark faced in their past. Wow scary.😰
