Great review!!! I have the uk version Vtoman 1500x, the uk version doesn't come with the jump cable extra. All in all , i love it. Will be sorting out solar soon and adding the extra battery. It will be awesome!!! I drive trucks and using the cigarette lighter charging think its 24 v in the truck. within 2 hours its charged.

That’s crazy good. I’ve just bought this unit to power my 75lt 12v camping fridge, and I am very curious to know how long it will run it before any form of charging. It pulls around 1AH per day, so I’m hoping at least 2 days.

Great review, I have just bought the 1500. I already have a couple of jump 600 with extra batteries. Although they are slow to recharge compared to others it has never been an issue camping. Gave me shivers when you mention Bears!I have a bad bear phobia even though I live in a country that doesn't have bears! Keep safe!

I have the 1500X, not sure what is different. Bought it in case power goes out, I can still watch TV and internet and keep personal devices alive. Meant to sort of be a mini generator. Debating on getting the extra battery in case of legit power outage. Thoughts? Can this really replace an actual gas generator? Can I use an extension chord and plug it into my F-150’s 110V outlet and charge it with truck running while it’s still running the things I need it to inside the house? I know a portable heater will slay its run time, but I have candles and what not to keep warm if needed. If you have suggestions for a heater that wouldn’t cook the battery life, I’m all ears. I’d like to be able to efficiently go full electric in case of an emergency and long outage (Western NY resident).

Hey Mark, sorry for late response. Yours is pretty similar to this one except it has less battery power in it. The one shown has 1548wh where yours has 828wh. So basically it would run almost twice as long as your with the same things plugged into it. The extra battery you can attach has the same power as this one, so it would be like having yours plus this one to power stuff. I think since you already have the 1500x it would be a good idea to get the attachable battery for more power. Also it does have pass through charging so you could charge it from your truck while you use it to power other things. I recommend propane for heat or a diesel heater as electric heaters use to much power. These are nice over a regular gas generator as they don’t make any noise or put off any fumes so can use them indoors, also you can plug in solar panels and while it’s sunny get free power without spending money on gas. Hope this helps

Do you have instruction on cable that goes from solar panel to battery. In instruction booklet it shows DC5521 connector. Shows only single cable. The cable they sent has 2 plug in for solar panel. The other end has 3 plug ins. One for battery and what are the 2 other plugin attached to the same cable. One is yellow and the other is a black and red??

I think this company is pulling a few BS switch-a-roos, They were selling this "1500" that was claimed at 1548wh, but now they offer the 1500X which is only 828wh capacity. That's a considerable drop, so buyers be aware of that if you're watching this video and think it's a review of their current 1500X. Now you have to buy the 1800 model to get the same comparison.

How long would the 1500 watt unit run a typical house furnace producig heat during a power outage?
@natefreeman1466
@natefreeman1466 4 ай бұрын
I’m assuming you mean an electric furnace right? You wouldn’t want to use any kind of backup power station because an electric furnace or space heater will gobble up the power way too quickly. You should look for a Mr Heater Buddy space heater which runs on propane instead.

I can tell folks a little secret about that extra battery. If you have another solar generator you can take a 12 volt cable to the size charging port of the VTOman and it will do the same thing! If you don't the extra battery might be a good idea since these batteries drain faster than you think on a load like a 12 volt fridge.

@TolbersCamping

Hey Paul, that just came out and is basically the same exact thing as this but with an 1800w inverter. Holds the same amount of power and plugs. So if you are running a device that pulls over 1500w but less than 1800 that would work. I personally wouldn’t pay much more at all for that

@@paulparrinello2526 I just explained it has an 1800w inverter which is why they call it the 1800 where the 1500 has a 1500w inverter. Meaning if you have a device or combination of devices that run over 1500 watts but under 1800 this would work. They both have the exact same capacity though meaning the same size battery 1548wh

Is it a 12v fridge? I highly recommend buying a electricity usage monitor, they cost like 30 dollars, I’ll leave a link below to what I’m talking about. Plug your fridge into it and into a power source for 3 days and it will tell you the total watts you used over that period. Then you will be able to know what size power station you need. If it’s really hot out it will use more power, if colder out less. I know you want a simple answer I just don’t want to say yes it will be big enough and then it not be. My guess would be yes, just don’t hold me to it 😂 here’s what I’m talking about amzn.to/3WHES1O

@@TolbersCamping Hey thanks for replying! I have a three-way Norcold refrigerator runs on 12 V, electric and propane. I am looking for a power back up If I needed it…and I do not want a noisy generator, Nor do I want to haul extra gas Although I’m not Totally against a propane generator. But the solar, battery powered power stations seemed like an easier solution. My husband is an electrician and we’ve been back-and-forth about this he said Battery power station not going to work! I wanted to do my own research 🧐 Either way I am used to dry camping with no technical luxuries so I always have my primitive back up camping stuff…a lot less to go wrong.
