VTube Studio vs PrprLive vs FaceRig | Tracking and Settings (Live2D)

It's really sad about facerig not keeping up with the times. I was a backer on indigogo back in the day, because I was sure virtual streamers could be a big thing eventually. I wish the other programs had the type of eye-tracking you can get on facerig though, that is it's biggest draw for me.

Overall I think FaceRig is the shittiest compared to the other 2, although it has the best eye tracking and shit tons of stock model. Between Prprlive and Vtube Studio I feel like the Vtube Studio is much more responsive, but the differences are not that big. If you enjoy the video consider subscribing.

@@WaffaffleQueen Yea I paid for all of them, you can use PrprLive and Vtube Studio for free though, but you're going to get terrible face tracking on PrprLive and as for Vtube Studio you can't remove the watermark.

Personaly the lip syncing and eye tracking is so much superior in facerig, I just cannot get myself to use VTube Studio. all the body movement things can easily be rigged into the head movements.

Nice, thanks for the comparison! What would also be helpful (at least to me) is a bit of technical comparison - target OS/platforms, development platforms and options (license, SDK, source, programming language), dependencies, drivers, performance, etc.

Vtube studio most definitly is the best out of the 3 imo is that a free version or a paid or so they have a better option for payed

You only get to remove the watermark if you pay for it.

I think like what many say is how face rig isn't keeping up what surprised me the most was how well it tracked the eyes and Vtuber studio is lacking a big was what surprised me but that one is one of the most popular because it has many features

facerig uses the most resources, vtube studio and prprlive is just about the same. However with vtube studio you could lower the resource usage at the cost of the tracking quality.

My one major problem with VTS is how the heck to save things. There is no text or hover text on the buttons on the left, either.

I am currently using facerig in my streaming but it is consuming about 25% of my PC processing. For me it is working fine besides that. This issue is affecting my video quality and I am considering to try another softwares. Could you compare the amout of processing in each software?

I dont think I will be doing that comparison video but according to other people's experience, facerig does indeed consume the most when it comes to facetracking, while prprlive and vtube studio consume much less resource.

In PRPRLive you can connect your IPhone for facetracking, pardon me if you already said it in the video but is that possible in Vtube Studio the same way it is in PRPRLive?

Hey, sorry but I don't do any model rigging for other people. You will first need Live2d Cubism to rig your psd avatar and then export it into files that can be imported into vtube studio. You can download Live2d trial freely for 30 days though, but of course you need to learn how to use it, either that or you could find someone to commission for. Good luck.

That is so weird, I've never used with iphone so I can't really help you there, try check the parameters settings for eyebrows.

Facerig seems to behave like a high-end prototype, ambitiously complex, very good at a few things, and insufferably janky or just plain bad at everything else. The sort of software that you could expect to get a lot better with development.
