I gave acknowledgement to new animes who OPs made the list that I was impressed to see !??!! Although I PERSONALLY like a lot of the older anime ops (my opinion solely) I did respect all the new gen anime ops for being so high on the list like CSM, JJK, Spy Family etc.

Also, objectively speaking here, Cowboy Bebop is nowhere near a cultural icon like Evangaleon was and still is. You very rarely hear people talking about Cowboy Bebop, meanwhile Evangaleon is still getting collabs from famous brands to this day.

I've seen a few people react to this video, and one thing that is very rarely considered was the artist behind the song. Most notice it when YOASOBI and Idol comes in at number 1, but almost never with everything else before it. My best example of this is with Yonezu Kenshi. Unless you're Japanese or live inside Japan, it's pretty hard to understand just how popular he is in Japan. One might know that Kenshi is popular, but how popular exactly is the hard part to wrap your head around.

Damn, after pausing so much, there was no pause on number 57. KZbin numbers were crazy. And then number 32. KZbin smashed it here. Or better said KZbin Music and Spotify are to low. Opposite for number 15. Spotify smashed it there. It's number 1 on Spotify. There are 3 mistakes in original video. Number 50 is OP1, not OP2. Number 31 is OP4, not OP1. Number 10 is S2 OP2, not S2 OP1.

A reminder that people still get ostracized for watching Anime in the late 2010's until early 2020's came in with COVID. People stuck indoors and with nothing much to do, many picked up Anime as one of the things to keep them occupied. Nowadays, it is a common occurence bumping into people openly talk about them. No wonder most in the top list are recently aired shows. To add to that, as one of the people mentioned in the comment section, streaming wasn't around back then.

Then again evangelion by itself is just so massive in Japan but yeah I can only imagine how instead of everyone using there Walkman they were on Spotify

Well older OP don't have streaming platform, also add that even OP from anime that have more than 10 years old might not even have a official video cause the owner of the song doesn't want them to be "free" on site like youtube. Frieren is one of the only anime I've ever seen that had literally zero nitpicks. The vast majority of criticism leveled against it is "it's overrated". Too many people equate "hugely popular" with lowest common denominator dreck (like most Marvel movies).

The person who made this list definitely is new to anime and just started watching when MHA came out😂 i also think youtube isn't doing it justice because of copyright. A whole lot of songs had to be reuploaded on diff channels so the views aren't what they use to be and youtube was the go to for music u cant find on apple music when ipod shuffles and nanos were still around.
