@@theviledelinquent3920 1. Because they're sprayed with pesticides while being grown and it's not a good idea to ingest that stuff. 2. Because you don't know how many people have handled the produce you're eating and what germs they had. Before you buy an apple for example, someone else touched that apple in order to pick it, another person touched it in order to pack it, and God only knows how many other customers have touched it while it was on display in the store and they've all gotten whatever germs they have on that apple. For these reasons it's a good idea to wash produce before eating it.

Depends on the ketchup, but it's technically preserved food. Sugar content. Thou, very highly concentrated thick tomato also doesn't go wrong, just grows a layer of mold. The rest of the 99% doesn't go wrong. People don't like sugar very much nowadays, so, possible it needs to be refrigerated? Plums and peach jams don't go wrong if they are thick enough without sugar, unless the bottle is left open.

She’s saying she goes through a 32 ounce bottle of ketchup in 3 weeks. The average ketchup packet you’d get at a burger joint is about 1/3 of an ounce. Ergo, 1 bottle every 3 weeks is about 100 packets every 21 days, or just over 4.75 packets a day. That’s like 1 or 2 packets a meal, which sounds reasonable. But I can’t imagine eating that many meals that need a dab of ketchup.
