The audio dramas are expensive as hell. But they are so fucking good. Brian Blessed’s performance as Gotrek never stops being entertaining. I cannot recommend them enough.

In total warhammer, Gotrek and Felix are legendary heros available to all human order factions I believe (i know for sure the empire and dwarfs can get them). I forget the exact requirements but at some point a quest will pop up where you fight with Gotrek and Felix against slaanesh demons, win the battle, then you get the 2 heros. If you play as Malakai, you get them from the start as a neat bonus. Speaking of Malakai, he built 2 things in his non slayer life, an airship called the indestructible and a battleship called the unsinkable, guess what happened. His current airship the "Spirit of Grumni" was actually going to be called the unbreakable but literally every dwarf on board forbidden him from doing so

If you want to go on a world altering quest; take the Lotr Fellowship… but if you want a fun adventure; take Gotrek and the gang(a good name for a band by the way). Gotrek randomly appears in Tolkien’s Legendarium…. Gotrek: “BRING ME THE DARK LORD!” Sauron at his strongest: *gives a Megamind approved entrance* “Here I am.” >:) 😈 Gotrek: “I said the Dark Lord”, not his sloppy seconds. Piss off, ya prissy elgi wannabe.” Sauron: *Mairon exe has stopped working* 😳😑😐 Elves: *snickering* Humans: 😆 Dwarfs: 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Orckind: *suffocating from laughter* Nazgûl: *regain free will as they all struggle not to laugh* Gandalf and the Mouth of Sauron: 😏 Balrog: “That burned harder than a Silmaril.” Also, The thirsting of Zabbia for Felix in “Serpent Queen” is absolutely hilarious, especially given her “situation”. And on the topic of horny Tomb Queens, and this might just be me, but regardless, I swear that Khalida had similar thoughts as her, but unlike her herald, Khalida had an actual filter whenever she spoke or thought. Also you forgot to add two other characters to the main secondary characters… The first is Kat aka Katerina aka Felix’s future wife who wanted to go adventuring with Felix and Gotrek but Felix said no for obvious reasons. She actually saved Felix when they first met from a Khorne follower. The other being Otto Jaeger, the brother of Felix who got letters from Felix to “hold on to” until Felix returned to publish as a book, but in stead published them as a incredibly successful books series called “My Travels with Gotrek” mostly due to the sheer unbelievability of what they went through that (I think) it was believed that Felix was just making stuff up and *no one* thought it was actually true in the slightest.

So! The Lancer campaign we're part of is simple. We are the collective group of disfunction known as Blacklist, defending a planet from giant bugs! Bugs that are displaying increasing amounts of intelligence and mimicry, stopping briefly to kill our medic's clone daddy on the grounds he's a psychotic murderer... and later our medic when he became a psychotic murderer (he runs the Emperor and is terrifying with it) and sent our base of operations into low orbit with a graviton rifle. Regardless, he's dead now. Replaced by another clone that... we don't actually know where he came from, hell the *clone* doesn't know where he came from. He just... showed up in the party one session so we wouldn't notice the Medic disappeared.

@mettikandroid sounds like a perfectly stable and reasonable group. Also did anyone consider the implications that clearly someone keeps flash cloning your medic and sending it back to your group? That or one of the bugs got so good at mimicking the medic he forgot he was actually just pretending

I want a God of War 4 style Gotrek and Felix game where we start in the Druchii home of Naggarond thanks to the tunnels from the book with Teclis (just go with it, Felix does and it hasn’t failed yet) and free Shen Zoo, the missing Dragon sibling from Grand Cathay, and have to wander the Warhammer World to get her back to Cathay. As well as get a magic neck collar removed out on by Rakarth because it keeps her in human form and prevents her from using her powers. The first is set in Naggarond, Lustria, Amazon’s home, Vampire Coastthe Great Ocean, and Ulthwan. Fighting Dark Elves, Lizardmen, undead, grenskins, and beastmen. The Second in the realm of the Tomb Kings, Araby, Brettiona, border princes. Fighting Dark Elves, Chaos Dwarfs, Toomb Kings, Araby, vampires, and Skaven. And the final is in the Empire, Dwarf Holds, Kislev, Ogre Kingdoms and Chaos Dwarfs in the Mountains of Mourn and Worlds Edge Mountains, and finally Cathay. Fighting Chaos, Skaven, undead, ogres, greenskins, chaos dwarfs, and beastmen. Meeting a who’s who of Warhammer characters from the major; like Karl Franz, Dragon Emperor, Teclis, Finabar, Morathi, Rakarth, Thorgrim, Settra, Arkan, Louen, and Sultan of Araby, to the minor; like Rakarth, Zhatan the black, Luthor Harkon, Imrik, the Amazon Queen, Valten, Green Knight, and Grimgor. (…Now that I think of it, Why *wasn’t* this a book? A Gotrek and Felix or stand alone story? It would have made a great series…) Barring that, a Shadow of Mordor/War esk game where we are a Chaos warband or Doom game as Settra, Naki the wanderer, Wulfrik , Nekaph Hereld of Settra, Teclis, Grombrindol, Valten, Grimgor, Ahzag, Luthor Harkon, Reponse Harry the Hammer etc. would suffice. The Warband game could start in either Norsca or the Empire. And you build up your power until you become too big to keep ignoring and the canon characters come in to deal with you. And the end of the final boss fight with Archaon, Crom, and/or Tamurkhan in the first or second ends with a RE4 quick time event that if you fail you don’t die… you serve them. And the sequel is serving them and getting sent to the Old World to weaken it but you get a chance to usurp them. But if you win, *you* take over their final boss’s armies. Eventually becoming the new Everchosen. With the final game with *you* either serving in Storm of Chaos or *being* the Everchosen in the *Endtimes itself.* Even having the Nemesis system from those games. Or a similar game but with the Dark elves, Orks, Ogres, Skaven, Vampires, Beastmen, Chaos Dwarfs, Vampire Coast, etc. The Doom esk game is very self explanatory, so I won’t go into it. Or a Assassins Creed Black Flag with the Vampire Coast, that would be awesome.

Yes the Emperor expecially in recent lore acts as a deos ex machina bzt in my opinion thats completly fair. Chaos space marines of all types frequently win battles, survive battles they shouldnt and achiece their goals only through the two punching lines "thanks to the chaos gods" ore "the trikery of the warp Was in our favor" abbadon the despoiler of lore only lives because of bullshit plot armor. Sigismund was old and still managed to impall abbadon with his black sword a death blow with which he killey hundreds if not thousands of space marine champions during the siege of terra and now suddenly abbadon can tank it? Bullshit.
