you cant compare basic model tiago ICE vs tiago electric since basic model tiago is a manual variant and tiago ev is an automatic car. Moreover even if you compare a basic model tiago automatic car ICE vs tiago ev, the ICE versions are equipped with AMT gearbox which is worst to drive and cant compare the smoothness of an ev automatic gearbox car.

Tiago petrol XT version is 7.5lakh on road Ahmedabad And same electric model XT LR is 9.5L on road Ahmedabad after 1.5 lakh subsidy That’s just 2 lakh difference wherein one can get a much much better automatic gearbox and an electric car technology.

@@RutPandya you do make a compelling case for Tata Tiago. Here’s why I think It wont make much of a difference for the sake of calculation 1. Section 80eeb has discontinued since March 2023(which still made it to the video, My Bad). So yearly savings of upto 23k reduced. So to recover the 2 lakh extra, you will more or less need a timeline of 3 - 5 years. 2. Claimed Range of tiago is just 250. So on road range should be much less which will induce a range anxiety with the lack of proper charging network. So for calculation sake I’ve calculated 100kms every day use which is irrelevant here as a sane person who drives around for 100 kms everyday will be less keen to buy a car with a range of 200 odd. 3. This video is a generalised calculation, providing you an easy formula to calculate while making your own purchase. Its not specific to a car, not specific for 100km use. This video gives you a formula to help you make a decision for you. If tata tiago suits your use and if you’d like to be a part of the ev gen. Please go ahead. Your purchase will eventually help companies scale to bring down costs and prices in a few years. And that when Ill be a part of the ev revolution 😉

@@goonjt I’m already a user of Tata Tiago ev XT LR, I got it for 9L on road Anand after subsidy and I feel it’s a no brainer! An extra 2L over its counter part ICE model is justified since it gives a smoother automatic gearbox & ev technology is an icing on the cake. Its real world range is 220kms and it’s more than sufficient for city driving purpose. There’s a 7x jump in ev buyers in last two years in Gujarat ( divysbhaskar fact )
