Gypsies are essentially Rajasthani Banjaras that went westwards....first to Egypt and then moved to Eastern Europe...that's why Europeans initially called them Gypsies (Egyptians). Gypsies definitely mixed with the Europeans culturally and linguistically....despite being away from Rajasthan for about 1000yrs, Romani (Gypsy language) is essentially Marwari with few changes here and there!

Vino de la India pero recibió mucha influencia árabe y algo menos de la danza judía ; hubo una fusión de ritmos que evolucionaron en lo que hoy es el flamenco que conocemos.No olvidemos que en España ,cuando llegaron los gitanos procedentes de la India , convivían tres culturas diferentes : musulmanes,judíos y cristianos .

@@SexyBeautifulBabe that's not exactly true, southern spain has some berber/arab influence in their culture from being ruled by berber arabs for 800 years. people can try pretend otherwise, but academics know the facts. I'm from europe but I love romani, indian and arabic music. andalusia are right next to north africa, it's impossible not to have influence. even the idea of pan-european identity is a modern invention, with far less history than our connection to eurasia as a whole. arabic music has a rich history/culture too and I think it's very interesting. it was the arab berbers who brought the lute (oud) to southern spain in the first place, which then became the guitar!

Arabs don’t dance Kathak dance, which is where flamenco comes from .. also the singing is 100% North Indian singing .. flamenco is 100% Indian dance .. the only fusion is the style of clothing , it is mixed with European .. Romani people kept to themselves bc everyone, Including Arabs , discriminated against them .. in fact , Romani people and Arabs don’t get along bc Romani left India bc of Muslim Turk/Arab invasion .. they couldn’t stand each other
