No. But can you get one prediction right? That’s the Vuelta challenge now !

Short of him crashing out almost certainly not.

Well I would predict he will still be leading the race after tomorrow for sure.

Biggest shock for me today was the realization that Fuglsang hasn't won any grand tour stages before today. TTT doesn't count.

Looks like a stage for the sprinters on paper as opposed to the breakaway. I will be shocked if DeGendt will even get in a break to begin with...

i hope hagen can manage to stay in the top 10 by the end. norway has had plenty of sprinters but no real climbers or all rounders to get a new generation of norwegian climbers going. im sure he'll have even more success in the coming years

Excellent editing with great general production and presentation values. This race has really showcased excellent cyclists performing well. A good mix of rouleur/sprint and climbing stages with minimal fuss of crashes which can really alter and ruin the expectation of a wider array of competitors. Viva La Vuelta !

Slightly off topic - I love the channel and the commentary, and have 3 general comments, as someone new to the sport. 1) How about an intro to watching racing video (race watching for dummies?) that explains what the different race graphics mean. For a newb, it is just so confusing. Also, this may be out of your control, but the top graphic of the leaders’ positions has the leader(s) in the leftmost position followed by the chasing groups (see 1:53), which to me seems to be backwards -- I would expect the leaders to be closest to the end of the race / end of the video, which is towards the right. 2) How about a pointer / arrow highlighting the rider you’re talking about? Unless they have a distinctive riding style like Chris Froome, or have won several grand tours like Vincenzo Nibali, I can’t identify the riders. The names are familiar, but unless it’s a closeup or their helmets are off, I’m clueless. (BTW, why don’t riders have their names on their jerseys, or do they?) 3) How about a brief overview of the companies in the team names? As an American, the only names that I recognize are Trek & Cannondale. No joke, but I thought Quickstep Floors was a combination of a dancing company (Quickstep) and a Dutch company (Floors). It would be interesting to see a profile of these companies, and hear why they sponsor pro teams. I’m a big fan of GCN and its channels, and am eager to learn more about the sport.

Name on back of jersey would be great, and an overview of sponsors would be interesting (and I'm sure something they wouldn't object to for the coverage).

Good to see breakaways go all the way to the finish line. It shows no team is in control of the race. Will Roglic survive the 4 days after the 2nd rest day? I bet he's going to talk to Alaphilippe and Yates while chilling out.

Why has dan given the kiss of death so many times to De Gent
@tomheyworth60205 жыл бұрын
He's a top breakaway rider, so he's the "best bet" the only problem is that many different riders can win on a breakaway stage, so even though he has better odds than any other rider, his odds still only about 10%.

The intercom is totally destroying all the joy. It's become very predictable and boring to watch the leading team take control and blocking the road to prevent attacks. The cycling sport has developed to be riders with Watts and weight rather than to be a full spectrum sportsman where you actually have to make own judgements, own tactics and your own impulsive actions based on what's happening in the peloton. This is the death of cycling if it continuous.🚴👎
@brunospasta5 жыл бұрын
I enjoy watching tactical races and seeing what the teams are planing. It's much more of a team sport nowadays which I think is pretty cool.
@HansChristianFrancke5 жыл бұрын
Yes, if you like to see 4-15 riders suffering in a break during an entire day just to be caught 2-5 kilometers before the line. It's ridiculous and boring.
