Vulcan 900 Running Bad.

I had the same issue. What I did was change the spark plugs, drain the fuel tank and clean the fuel injector and filter, refill the tank with higher grade fuel, like Mobil, BP or Costco(93) and fuel injector cleaner in the tank. Works like a charm. i have a Vulcan 900 2009 LT classic.

I ride my 2006 900 Classic almost every day, so I never have that problem. Save yourself a bunch of money guy's and ride your bikes far more often than twice a year!!!

You can hear the stator grinding. This is a pre 2009 model, right?

yes it is a 2006 model, there did not appear to be any rub marks but im glad I took it apart and re-did the wiring and grommet.

Having similar issues there are times it does want to turn over but now it doesnt it's like gas is not going to the engine looks on mine I replaced the injectors but it still doesnt open idk what to do

Not important since all VN900 since 2006 have the same setup.

Its either a timing problem ie check valve clearance or spark / fuil. Why are you jumping it? Has the battery run down while you were trying to start it or just run down. This could be a short in the recifier or stator but i would check spark plugs and wirers also the boot that holds the throtal body on . Its probably not something big unles you way over reved that bike.

Hi mine is doing the same issue, I gotta tell that I painted the fuel tank and when I mount everything again the fuel was kinda dirty, do you think the fuel injectors are bad? Or when I replaced the oil filter I got a short?

Do you have equipment to check fuel injection systems? Are you a mecanic? Check al EFI step by step, if you need , i have the shop manual.

I’m also dealing with the same problem on my 2007 VN900 classic LT, anytime I give it to much throttle it bogs out. Did you get this problem fixed?
