Stages of becoming a Vulf fan 1) WTF is this? Some kind of nerdy parody band? Not too bad tho 2) What is wrong with the bass player? Is he being serious? Surely, he's gotta be half chicken to bop his head like that. 3) Yeah, he's serious.... and good! 4) listen to nothing but Vulfpeck for 3 weeks straight 5) feel the urge to tell everyone, coz they're def missing out.

This song makes me want to become a comedian, grind it out for 15-20 years, starting out at tiny open mics, slowly building an audience, mastering my craft, getting hired to write on the most popular comedy shows of the time, working a short stint as a staff writer on SNL, leaving because it wasn't a great fit, until one day I get a call from a network exec saying my name was mentioned by one of the best comedians of the time as a possible host for a new late night show that's in prep. After a lot of uncertainty, I get the job, my life changes. The first episode is filmed, Vulfpeck is the house band, they play this song as the outro as I thank everyone in my life who supported me and helped me get here, the cheeriness and perfect outro tone of the song counters my obvious but endearing emotional state. I have made it.

Every time the band finishes a 12-bar progression, Jack knocks one of six bills off of the top of the piano. Theo, Joe, and Joey can all see when he's out of bills, so they know when the jam is over and they all switch to the final section of the song. When the money's gone, you got to go.

Whenever I listen to this, I always get flashbacks to watching Saturday Night Live intros from the late 80's and early 90's. That dirty saxophone sound just transports me to another place and time.

This song feels weirdly cozy and nostalgic. Like I'm falling asleep in a lay-z-boy listening to the band of some forgotten 90s late night talkshow.

Man this song reminds me of a big city like New York early in the morning in the 70's, and wearing a suit like Callahan grabbing a paper and walking down the street.

I think this is 2 days into my Vulfpeck discovery binge. I cannot believe that there's so much of a body of work to go through. Not to mention the quality benchmark going back through years of work is just way up there. Goodness me, you guys, I can't stick honey in my ears without unnecessary complications, so I'll listen to all this instead. Much love!

this song was playing in a thrift store yesterday, and it captivated me for some reason. i was frantically trying to look up how to make google look for a song (since it had no words lol, id never used that feature before) and i was happy to finally find it. good song, definetly could be part of a movie soundtrack.

Ohh yes. Stumbled upon these guys when I watched their "Wait for the Moment" video (which I totally love btw). But this.... I smiled so hard when I saw there was a saxophone in the description box (I play alto). And when the sax part finally came in, it did not disappoint. Groovy song indeed xD
