Really great video, especially to start the year! Last night I rewatched 'My Night at Maud's' and just love it so much. I've also thought that Rohmer has probably become my favorite filmmaker and currently it's going back-and-forth between him and Bergman (who's been my semi-official pick for a long time). Ozu, Rossellini and Dreyer would probably round out my top 5, if I were to make one. I would love to read 'Lie with Me' (The main character in Jedrowski's 'Swimming in the Dark' also mentions Truffaut among other artists like James Baldwin). I think I will do it this year, probably in the summer time. 'No Longer Human' has been on my radar for quite a while; let's see if I get to it this year. Your manga collection is so impressive and also intimidating and something I would like to tackle, but I have so little space at the moment to buy the kind of thick books you display (for that reason I've really reduced my book purchasing quite a lot). Your weight loss journey is truly inspiring and it's also motivated me to do some small but considerable changes in my eating habits. Thank you for that and I wish you a lovely and wonderful 2025, dear sir ✨🌈

Merci 🍑. My Night at Maud's is probably his best film, I loved my rewatch of it last year. Rossellini is close to entering my list, I need to watch more of his stuff soon like Il Messia. Manga collecting is fun but also very expensive and it takes a lot of space like you said. I probably need to get a new shelf sometime this year. I noticed today that I had gained a little weight back as I ate too much during the New Years festivities, but now I'm back on a fast, so that will drop off quickly. I'm happy that I have motivated you to make some changes as well 🤗❤.
