One of the things I really appreciate about this show (and there are many), is that they chose to have Alexis and David be adults. I feel like in other hands they would have made the siblings be in high school and have them do the cliche how to navigate through school and your teenage years in a new town and “discovering” yourself”. I think having them be adults shows the audience that you are very much still growing and developing in your 20s and 30s and that it’s ok to not know what you’re doing all the time. Those are the years where you truly discover yourself (and even years after that) and when you really start to be cultivate the relationships that will last a lifetime. It’s not much but it’s something that I really like that they did. I think about the episode in the last season where David and Stevie are talking about him going to New York to be with people who don’t really care about him, and how David wants to prove that he’s not a joke. That’s a feeling that I have struggled with throughout my 20s (I’m 25 now). In short, I love this show with my whole being 😊

David's impersonation of Alexis when he said, "why would I do that" had me in tears laughing. It's one of those moments you have to go back and rewatch several times.

The tamagotchi scene is so perfect my brother forever reminds me of his robocop toy I broke 20 years ago when I was 4 and he was 8

I only recently got into this show and I binged all six seasons. I love this relationship because it’s so relatable. Annie and Dan are so good. And the way Alexis says David is so funny.

No man. from binge watching the series several times in a row CONSECUTIVELY I am now going through interviews and everything I can lay my hands on for these beautiful humans to stay in my life! I cant be helped OBVIOUSLY......it is fare to say that Dan has NO IDEA what impact he had on people's lives......a warm genuine genius .xx

Such a legendary show! All four characters were so fulfilling! And so rewarding for all of them to win the Emmys too!
