Releasing the tracks as instrumental is something more bands need to do, I was 3/4 the way through it before even realizing that the 2nd half was the same songs, it's a different listening experience.

It's an internet age phenomenon really. Back in the day that would likely be 2 disks (or sound like shit), 2 sides of a cassette, or 2 sides of a vinyl. Most people back then would likely not even bother to play side B, so it was a tall errand to use studio production time, recording equipment, and whatever else they did back then, not going to pretend to know... for 0 payoff.

I mean kinda has to be, since blast beats as a concept are going to be the same every song, and slam is playing around them, that leaves all the adaptations around the guitar riffs. Drums and bass are always preoccupied producing the blast beats, obviously with different notes but go crank older death metal and you'll notice some songs do it but there's going to be a lot of variations and maybe songs with none or little.
