For those who wants to know the meaning of the lyrics, the song is being sung from the perspective of a soldier from Israel, whose wife was having an affair with King David, at the moment King David of the kingdom of Israel, Before starting the affair, the King David was able to see the soldiers wife from the window of his room while she was showering at night (From here comes: you saw her bathing on the roof, the beauty and the moonlight overthrew you), from this moment the King David fell in love with her, and started to hit on her,) then ahead soldier says (and remember when i moved in you? the holly dark was moving too) which means sexually, she was being banged by her husband and King David, and it describes how the passion of the wife for the soldier was dying while he was happy with her (Holly Dove) the big problem comes when King David fears the soldier is aware of the affair, and given to the laws of older Israel, the women who has an affair when having a husband was condemned to be killed, so to avoid this, King David sent the husband (Soldier) to the front lines of a war they were having at the moment with another kingdom so that he was killed quickly and the King David in this way could continue his romance with the women... very unfortunate story.

So pretty much Samson had all these awesome powers from God, and Delilah was a girl who he liked or was in a relationship or whatever who had been paid by a group of people to find Samson's weakness so they could capture him. She tried to get him to tell her and he said if he was tied up so she tied him up in his sleep but he broke the ropes (God strength power stuff) and eventually she got him to tell the truth, that if his hair was cut he would lose his strength. The funny thing is, this version is less powerful for me than the one by Rufus Wainwright. This is just missing... something. It's good, but Wainwright's version takes me to places I don't particularly want to go. those people i guess did not see shrek in theaters in 2001....everyone was shook when this started to play..its so out of nowhere unexpected for a film that starts with all star and poop jokes to have a scene this deep...i remember people started to cry lol..the change of tones from the fist half of the film to this song is jarring in a good way and it works so well...flat out jaws on the floor stunned people cause the film was marketed as a gag fest for kids...no one saw these feels coming from such beautiful music

This truly is the best version of Hallelujah, the rhythm, and the tone is absolute perfection. Unlike other versions, not only is the singer's voice soothing, this version just flows so smoothly and doesn't have sudden breaks in lyrics.
