Or wind 2 x 8mm bolts into the threaded holes in the drum and they will press against the drive flange and push the hub off nice and quietly.

If you knew anything about brake drums, you would know that they have a tendency to chemically weld (rust) themselves onto the hubs. Instead of banging the drums and risking cracking, try this procedure: - 1. Back off the brake shoes from the drums. 2. With a small propane gas torch, heat the area just outside of the wheel bolt area in a circular motion. The intent is to promote expansion of the drum centre, causing it to break the rusted bond with the outer edge of the hub. 3. After heating for about 2-3 minutes, tap the face of the brake drum to loosen it from the hub. Use a pigskin, brass or copper hammer to shock the drum loose. 4. With both hands, remove the drums. Easy as, and no need to bash the drums. Cheers

"if you knew anything" Did you just suggest heating with gas around the bearing 😂, Also when was the last time you cracked a drum? 27 years in and I've never cracked one but Maybe your a giant 😙 You don't sound like a mechanic, are you a science teacher by any chance?
