Hi Mate. The whole system in grounder through the box so as soon as you bolt the box into place then it is grounded to the chassis of the car which is grounded to the main battery. Hope that makes sense.

No sorry mate. It has to sit against the tub to utilise the Vw mounting points.

Hi Mate this one doesn't have a variable voltage alternator so it wasn't needed. If your model has a variable voltage alternator we have what's called a smart ignition module as a plug in add on. to activate the bleu wire.

@@adrianpowell493 h Adrian, no worries mate. The Long harness that runs to the main battery positive terminal it the link to the alternator. The alternator in every car I wired direct to the main battery positive terminal so this is the best spot to connect a dual battery system. As for the ign wire some models require it only if they have a variable voltage (smart) alternator. If you check out the product in our website it explains how to tell if you have a smart alternator and and what to do if you do.

Where did you run the earth to?

Hi Ken, the earth is connected to the battery box and the box is securely mounted to the body of the vehicle so that is how the system is earthed mate.
