Do you have any tips for people with the ECM that has the steel cage? I was able to get to the bolts without removing the ECM but it wasn’t pretty... wondering if there’s a better way. Thanks for the advice!

Robin Basulto yeah shouldn’t be an issue, if your tuned just make sure to reinstall your map

Removing the ECU should not have any negative consequences, as long as it is reinstalled correctly.

With the correct mounts, absolutely...if ECS do not make a suitable set, REVO does...look almost identical to the ECS ones.

So during the removal of the stock oem mounts on my 08 GTI. I notice that one of the bolts on the transmission mount snapped off somehow and is stuck inside the hole. Will this mean I will need to drill it out???
