Great work! I would change the engine to a Type 3 to get a flat floor. And then put in a working tailgate.

We did this to a bug. It looked cool. To make the bed usable we removed the drive train and steering. Built a frame that would house a gm v6 5spd and rear end out of an s10. Moved has tank to the rear. It just made more sense. We still own it. We drive it 1 time a month. Now if you want to do this project, get a newer type vw. All the work is already done, just body kit and interior mods.

If you used a squareback engine you could have had a usable bed. Buckets of bondo. I think I would have let the welds show like a rat rod. The back end looks like an early bus. Hmmm!

Alguns disco Flap ia ser mais hh, parece que ele usou massa mesmo, não sei porque nessas adaptações caseiras não jogam o acabamento da solda jogando as emendas para dentro e massear só no cordão, a posição de soldar não deve ser das melhores e nem fica Lizinho mas é o que os fabricantes faziam quando criavam as caminhonetes Saveiro, pampa, Chevy...
