Camping VW Bus Style - Sawtooth Campground Review - Hiking Rock Climbing Cold Weather
Sawtooth is a Beautiful campsite. The views of the rock formations are unbelievable. Sawtooth CG is off Highway 247 between Lucerne, CA, and Barstow, CA. Activities are camping, playground, hiking, biking, rock climbing, and wildlife viewing, amongst other things. There are 14 camping spots with cabanas, picnic tables, fire pits, and barbecues. The cost is zero zip nada to stay. I am pretty sure there is a 14-day stay maximum. In this video, I’ll show you all 14 campsites, plus the trails leading to all 14 spots. Plus, hiking and rock climbing sections. My phone on Verizon had two bars maximum during my stay there. This Campground is a first come, first serve campsite. There is no host present. The best times to get a spot are 8 AM to 10 PM to get a campsite spot.

The new interior looks SO good! This looks like a great place to set up as base camp to explore out of on the dirt bike. Looks like the beautiful area you drove through looking for Hurricane Kay is not too far away? Yet another place on my list to get to, thanks for the great review!!!

It’s close to the hurricane Kay location, guessing 5 miles away. Passed it while doing a revisit Hercules Finger run after the Sawtooth CG stay. For my one year anniversary video. Comes out on the 26 of April. 😊

From the 247 I went East on Pipeline Road to Harrod Road OM6635 south to Erickson dry lake ( had some water on the east end, it was super smooth and got up to 60 mph 🤣😂😅

Thanks 😊, I did stay the night at Sawtooth, I show up in the afternoon and all the campsites were taken. So I camped by the rocks ( the spot I Timelapse the clouds). Then packed up early in the morning and did the site review. I wasn’t expecting the campground be full. So It through off my game plan. So the next night I camped out in the Ord Mountain area. 20 degrees in the morning. The next day I did a revisit video of Hercules Finger. Coming out April 26. 🙂 ☮️
