Hi. Was it easy driving on the canyon rd getting to Holcomb campsite? Would it be alright driving at night? Thank you
@VintageOverlandAdventuresАй бұрын
Use Van Dusen Canyon Road / 3N09, by the BigBear airport. Take your time on any trail at night. Easiest way to get to the campsite.

@@VintageOverlandAdventures thank you. On the forest website they have this section and map where they are saying go up Polique canyon rd - that the ranch gates are closed from the van dusen canyon. Have you been on Polique ? Is that a rough road to drive at night? Thank you so much for sharing your video and replying to me.

Don't worry about it, Superdude, for that matter, you don't even have to narrate it;just show some video magic with some music, whatever, and we'll all enjoy it. Any content you put out is uniquely you, and that's what's special about your channel. We're all in for the long haul- if you're driving, we're along for the ride! ✌️

😅Do you ever come across fallen trees that block the road because sometimes there pretty hard to move out the way?
@VintageOverlandAdventuresАй бұрын
I haven’t, 3hr walk to the road or the the other way to the Ranger station. Most my adventures in the pines is pretty well traveled. But, I should get a chainsaw and a small winch. The desert adventures are the scariest, sand, breakdowns and no cellar service. I need a satellite text unit or starlink. Or keep doing what I do! 🙄

Thanks, Matt! As soon as I set up my awning, I had to take it down because the wind picked up fast. I sat inside, fell asleep to the wind noise and the shaking of the bus. Also, I wasn't able to do a "Food Channel" portion in this episode. 😁 It was a wild ride atop a mountain, parked with 60 mph winds
