Mitch, as much as I hated to see you leave... you gotta follow your dreams. I didn't... I put it off until I was older... I had a chance to see China, Africa, Scotland... but I didn't go. I spent money on a house, cars, etc. Now... I'm older and I cannot afford to go to those places and do the things I wanted to. You are young... you have the ability to do it because you have worked hard, and you have your KZbin channel to help. So yes... I agree with you... do it NOW while you can. There is always time to do the things at home... but you will run out of time to actually go live life. SO I am happy for you my friend... i wish I did the same when I was younger.

Mitch, this is a great series to show what goes into a quality restoration of a classic VW. Skinner Classics looks to be a first class operation with great people from the owner to all workers. I'm glad you were able to film and take us on the journey of restoring your "new, bitchin" splitty!

Excellent, you are working on your project, restoring the WV bus! I love to learn any old restoring vehicles, my dad had 1929 model T Ford car and truck and also 1932 V36 Cadillac. We had one 1967 SL270 Mercedes Benz as well. Never forget the moments. I am enjoying watching many of your videos as well as I am deaf.

Hey Mic, I follow your work from the beginning, here in Brazil these vans have a nickname of "corujinha" that in their language would be something like "little owl" and formerly had little value, currently are difficult to find in good condition as they were used to the limit and then discarded, I am amazed to see how enthusiastic you are about restoring these little jewels and how easy it is to get the body/mechanical parts, where they were made there is absolutely nothing to sell and when you find it the value is unrealistic. I'm following ! Success in the project, Brazilian greetings.

I am surprised too with the replacement parts available in the USA. Here in Brazil they does not exist or are too expensive.

Hey Mic. Greetings from San Diego. Another great video. I’m sharing these videos with a friend of mine in Tijuana who has a body shop who works on nothing but VW buses. Robert Skinner and his family are my friends, and we’ve all benefitted from their expertise and generosity. Skinner Classics has contributed significantly to many projects in the last few years, including LIGHT The Woodstock bus project and Ben and Leah´s KombiLife bus Boomerang, both of which I got to be a part of. Kona the Bus will have many friends all around the world.
