you can’t use iphone underwater, hit it against rocks, use it with an helmet or a kitesurfing, press one button to shoot easily etc… don’t compare the image quality but what both are made for

I am contemplating getting this..... I noticed in the Menu it said Quick capture.... How do you quick capture on the GoPro 4k... say my toddler is doing something in the garden & i want to Quick capture it. Ps i have subscribed :-]

I didn't have a pin drive tool but used a socket with the same OD and fine all-thread to press the lower bushing out. The top bushing was driven out with a brass drift.

When installing riv-nuts the hole drilled should be a tight fit. Those ridges need to bite the metal for when loosening a stubborn bolt later on.

iphone 15/16 support ProRES LOG color profile, Intraframe 10-bit 4:2:2 HQ ProRES codec at 700+ Mbps bitrate, using ProRES LOG disables sharpening, disables VFR, and disables local tone mapping. ProRES LOG fixes many of the flaws that plague iphone camera footage. Now that these iphones support USB-C you can directly attach fast USB storage devices for recording high bitrate ProRES codec videos without filling up your built-in storage space. To me ProRES LOG feels like it has noticably more color grading latitude for things like highlight recovery because there is more data than 10-bit 420 200Mbps GP-LOG footage even when delicately handled by GP-TUNE+ DCTL in Resolve Studio. I don't always shoot in ProRes LOG, but if there is a special shot I want to get the most data on its an option. GoPro even with HeroLabs is lower bitrate with an inferior log curve, but I still shoot GoPro because I really like Gyroflow stabilization without Hypersmooth for a more artisinal digital stabilization in post that has fewer artifacts than the previous generation post stabilization methods.

I have the 14 Pro Max but you did help me understand my new Hero 13 better! Sad story of my stupidity, my Hero 12 fell out of the pocket of my BCD while diving in Bonaire last month and I foolishly hadn't backed it up so I lost over 100GB of video from the first 9 days of the trip. I am still devastated by it.

Both are amazing Camara's its about the ergonomics and use case...
