Overall sweetest Bus I’ve seen. I built the 1800 engine for my bug, but have a distaste for the cost of building an even bigger one for my Bus, which to me is a must have. Loooove my Bus, but being underpowered in today’s traffic is unsafe to say the least. I want to be an aircooled purist, but they won’t let me $$$. So I have no problem with the Subi swap FOR A BUS. Thanks for sharing, good stuff.

I'm looking at a vw that has a subaru engine in it. I have no clue how it was/well done, or who they used for conversion. However: Have you had any issues yet? might give me hope on this one, plus possible changes with the vender you were using. How well does the heating/cooling work? Did you add another heater to the rear?

It's great to see it running. The engine sounds much quieter than a VW engine. Is that correct?

Yes, but still much louder then new car.

Nice ! Couple questions; How is the water temperature? Any over heating issues so far ? What gear ratio / tire size are you running, and rpms at 65 mph ?
@GarageTime4 жыл бұрын
Hi Tony, no heating issues yet (no real hot days here yet), average running temp 180, using VW transmission, rebuilt from Benco 3.88. Tranny works look a dream, no problem. At 120km around 2k rpms.
