Agree that Cherry Red / White would be a great addition (saw a wrap in this combo and it really stood out). Also a trad baby blue/ white - but I guess that would be difficult given the current VW panel van palette. We’ve gone for a Bronze /White Ocean, ordered from Liverpool about 6 weeks ago. It kind of shouts “Cali” to us. Colour was the last (and hardest) thing we decided on, and you’re right Chris, you have to see the colour on a vehicle - a challenge in lockdown but thankfully we’ve got a commercial van centre very local to us. We even had a family vote, which went badly with a total of 5 choices from 6 votes🤨. We had rented an all Bronze Cali last year, and while we thought the big block of colour was a bit much, bronze does a very nice job of disguising splattered mud! We decided to add the chrome pack, partly to have the B Pillar in black, which blends nicely with the darkened windows. Anyway, we feel privileged ordering a Cali in any colour, they’re great vehicles. Just hope it arrives in time for our first planned adventure in September (fingers crossed).

I think the copper and white two-tone is the nicest of the two-tone paints. It really looks stunning, so you've picked well! I agree that cherry red and white would be brilliant. Hoping you get your Cali in time for September! Chris.

I'm with you on Mohave Beige, Chris. Such a nice colour and such a naff name. It seems to change with the light from a liquid silver to a subtle bronze. We would have had that (or Reflex Silver) if we'd factory ordered. As it is, we've got Oryx white which is now a 'classic', I guess? It really needs to be clean to give it's best! But it does keep the Cali cool, so that's a plus ...

The best thing about getting a wrap is that it protects the factory paint, which is a definite plus if you're planning on reselling in the future. It also means you can cheaply change the colour in the future. Let me know what colour you're planning on going for. Thanks for commenting. Chris.

Hi Chris. Thanks for all the videos. They’ve really help me to choose which model and features I want. Can I ask a silly question though. Is there a way to have the radio in the driving cab run off the auxiliary camping batteries. We love the radio and would have it on all day and most of the night but obviously don’t want to deplete the main driving battery. Or is best to have a separate portable radio. Thanks again. Ken

Hi Chris. Unrelated Digital Cockpit question. I have a 6.1 and the display can be selected as Classic or Views 1 to 3. If I edit the 3 views I can't get them to save. Could you put out some advice on that? Thanks!

Having just contacted VW to get an insurance quote I was informed that they wouldn’t insure the California Ocean (2018, Indium Grey / Pearl Black) I was buying because it was two tone colour. I assume this is the same for the T6.1, so might be worth checking if VW insurance is one of the options you are considering. Would be interested to know why?

In an ideal world two tone Ravenna Blue bottom half, Candy White or Ascot Grey top half. Probably order something in 3 to 6 months so fingers crossed, you never know!!!

If there's no factory option, you could always look at getting a wrap for the bottom half. I know a few people have had that done and love it (plus, it protects the factory paint).

Thanks Chris. Any idea why we don't have the full range of two tone colours available in the UK? Blue and silver or red and silver would be my choice. I'm holding off placing my order as I'd really like one of those. I agree Ravenna blue and Pure grey would be nice to see too.

Pure Grey every day, you can spec an Ocean in Europe in that colour just not the UK, dam VW UK! I’ve gone for Candy white and will probably wrap the bottom in pure grey, I suspect that’s why VW now charge for white as they know it’s the ideal colour to wrap and takes sales away from the 2.8k two tone options.

+1 My LHD Coast was spec'ed in Pure Grey. Easy choice as Ascot Grey was not an option in Europe for a Coast 'Editions'.
