Boss new subscriber here... but as a DIYer I don't think you need to put grease as the work of the headgasket is to prevent coolant and oil from mixing will grease prevent that? Anyway just a suggestion...good job.

Just holds the gasket to sit rightly and correctly on the water jackets ( avoid dancing dancing) while placing the cylinder head.
