Golf R and GTI oem tail light have the same part number. What the diffwirh these light that make it not fit the Golf R?

@@Nirvash24 they do fit the golf R if you still have your car. Mk7 only though. But do order them.!

After having mine for like 6 months they aren’t bad but water and condensation get inside pretty bad.

I have had no problem with these lights. I installed them on a non l.e.d.mk7 golf R and they look sick. The site says they dont work on golf r but they do. As ling as its mk7 and not a 7.5. I can confirm fitment. Ive only had 1 issue with a code coming up. ( reverse lamp open closed circuit B+) but has since been resolved. These lights work great for the price and cant be beat. If anyone reads this you can check out my other thread on the other spec-d vw golf video on youtube ☝️where I go over issues, coding solutions, and fitment. But they do work for a golf R incase anyone is looking for answers.

Hey I know this is late lol but I broke my car trying to code these tail lights for urban joke and now they don’t work on my car. The tail lights themselves are completely fine but my car is rejecting LED tails for some reason. Ive tried to go back to stock coding, doinh LED setting etc but nothing works.

I bought these and now one light permanently has brake light on and the other you can’t turn on the break light. Bulbs are good bcz turn signals still work but lights themselves are not very good which is a shame bcz I have bought spec d tail lights from red line for like 5 of my cars and loved them every time

I bought 2 stew of these for my car and the only thing that works is the brake lights
