VW GOLF MK1 GTI | Merlin Fischer & Fabian | VWHome

It´s time for some old school stuff! The original silver VW Golf MK1 GTI was built in 1983 and got an upgrade with an 1,8l 16v engine. 45 Weber, manifold, custom exhaust and 170 hp got the retro sound and power to enjoy every cruise. The 16v axle and brake kit at the front and in the rear are black powder coated. In front of the technic is a set of 17" custom built BBS RA that were 15" original. The inside of the GTI got the Recaro seats and rear with original Pirelli GTI upholstery. Merlin sits in front of a Sparco steering wheel and a Golf 1 Sportline speedometer. A great combination with all the original bits!
Fabians MK1 was an original 3 door Golf from 1981. A 1.3 liter engine with Solex hybrid carburetor with an electronic ignition. The suspension today is a Lowtec Megalow coilover kit with 240mm between wheelhouse and wheel center. Custom made 3 piece Porsche Telephone wheels in 6x17 with a 165/40 R17 Nankang in front and 7x17 with 185/35 R17 in the rear. Golf MK1 Cabrio seats and Momo Indy wooden steering wheel are the place to be under the Twingo sunroof on a sunny day.
