You're a rockstar! Thank you for sharing this video. My car has been down for a week, hit a dead end troubleshooting and been searching YT hoping to pin point the problem. My car issue was the head of the nail. This vid was the hammer. 👌💯👌💯

Thank you for making and sharing this video! My 2007 Jetta had the exact same crank no start issues. I was on the last straw ready to have it towed away. I dove into the wiring harness and found a the same wire was corroded in the exact same spot. I spliced in a new wire and the Jetta started up! It has a new fuel pump now too since I originally was guessing the fuel pump was the issue... Thank you again!

I'm having pretty much the exact same issue since my motor was rebuilt, a crank no start. Two months into this, i already have no communication with the ECU. I think I'll start removing the cover off my ECU wiring harness and hope to Jesus that, I can find something and fix it and get it starting again 🙏✝️🏋️

@@Eurospec73 Good luck tracking down the issue. Be careful as you cut away the wire harness cover you don't want to accidentally slice more wires. Take your time. I stuck a flat head screw drive between the wires and the black wire wrap to help prevent me from slicing wires. Take your time looking at the wires and feeling them. There was a decent bulge from the corrosion in the wire casing. But there was some more subtle roughness from the corrosion in the casing too. You want to remove all of it.

@@TravelMacro thanks Josh yes good point I definitely don't want to rush things it's going to take my time to make sure I don't cut anyting and use the right tools. For a 31 year old car anything could have happened as far as a break or a split in the wire goes, heat can destroy anything. Wire's can get hot, I don't know if that's the case with an it. It doesn't hurt to do a visual inspection that's for sure.

Not really. That harness lays in water when the cowl drains clog. Thanks for the boost but Eric O is the man. Humble as can be too. I'm happy to call him a friend.

really helps when it throws codes. my crank/nonstart is intermittent, and throws no codes in vcds.

Hi . I have got a problem with Golf 2.0 fsi, no connection with ECU , I checked main pins into computer 1,3,4,5,6 they all showed me -12 V - ground, however their should 3 pin with plus 12 and 3 ground. What is the problem there? Thanks in advance

I have a problem with my 2008 2.0t FSI. One day I was driving and I had almost no power at all I could barely get up to speed. Then later i tried to start it and It cranks but won’t start, I have low fuel pressure I only have 4 psi. I replaced the in tank fuel pump, the high pressure fuel pump, fuel pump module, and the fuel filter. Do you know what else it could be.
@Eurospec73 Жыл бұрын
If you're having low fuel pressure, than it's definitely a fuel pressure regulator. Replace that and it should fix your problem.
