Your supposed to disconnect both and then a small jumper wire and its instant don't need to wait 15 mins

Can do it that way as well. But you really don’t have to remove the positive battery terminal as long as you isolate the battery. Thanks

I have a 2010 Jeep Liberty 3.7L and have tried this technique several times with no results. The most promising was when I hooked the negative back to the battery the horn went on for a second. The check engine light will not go out no matter what I do or how long I wait. The car runs rough and drives in limp mode. It only let's me rev it up higher in increments as it warms up. When I turn the key on the dash lights always flicker and it looks very uniform in the way they flash. I added 5 ground wires but no difference. Misfire on all cylinders is a permanent code and it's throwing codes for all the 02 sensors along with a few other things that I have replaced and know they are OK. I'm going to send the PCM out for repair and hope they find the issue. If anyone has anything to contribute to this I would appreciate it. The car sat for 2 years with a blown cylinder head. Last month I replaced it and it started right up then started misfiring. Replaced the injectors, alternator, plugs, coil packs the works and it's exactly the same. I did not try the turn on the key 3 times I just realized and this one here is a Jeep so maybe that's the issue.

This is stupid, and not the video, the concept. Why is this fucking magic? How do the techs clear it when you take it to the shop? Old BMWs used to have a reset key. Yes, it was expensive, but this is sheer madness.

ha ha ha ha ha ha ha why i'm laughin? because it will temporary solve the problem only temporary and it will come back again. It's like you make your car smoke pot and when the highness subsides, it will remember the problem again and don't do this if you have to smog your car right away because it will fail.
