VW Jetta Won't Go into Gear 1, 2, or Reverse Fixed

Update: on the adjustment better one that works best is between 12 to 14mm. the 20mm still stucky, cheers

Its amazing how a certain car/manufacturer can really become your ride or die. I recently discovered my passion for Audi when I switched from a 2014 Ford S-Max to a 2008 Audi A4. Take the guesswork out... Home the shifter by putting a rod in between the two holes (~4.8mm) at the selector and home the tower but locking the black pin you found. Then tighten the shifter cable.

Im going to try this rn on my 91 civic hatch. Its not going into 1st, 2nd or reverse. Car is off and it still won't go into gears. Wish me luck!

Car model golf 5 fsi 2.0 It's not going into gears 2, 4, 6 Also reverse is hard to go in but it does go in reverse , it takes other gears except for the bottom one's What could be the problem?

2019 I force into gear hard. And it stalled as if I didn't engage the clutch and my foot was all the way down on the clutch. So hard to shift into geArs like brick wall. Like the clutch grabs. And it feels like the pressure plate isn't being pressed or the slave or clutch master isn't engaging pressure to engaged my clutch

I have a VW CC 3.6 DSG and it won’t go in to gear they shifter isn’t even catching to select softener gears it moves but the selector is showing its still in park

My 2005 tdi won’t go in reverse it will go in all other gears. The weight on the transmission won’t move up or down either, is it bushings?

No it could be no oil or it's stocked

Try engaging it or wiggle the weight up & down with the engine off

Please I have a problem. My Mercedes c300 4matic doesn't go into gear. If I select a gear like drive or reverse, it shows on the dashboard that I actually selected a gear, but nothing happens. It only revs. But the car detects when I switch the gears. What could be the problem?

The problem just started on it own or something? How did it started? Does it jerk when you shift between reverse & park or its completely silent?

@@drcoolautofix yes it just started. I removed my battery recently. Then I put it back and noticed it changes on the dashboard but nothing moves. It doesn't jerk. But if I put it on gear the sound will change a bit and small vibration and nothing else.

The first thing is to check for the lack of hydraulic pressure .... The rubber clutch huse is very important... It needs to be OEM
