Mike i freaking love you lol, when you started working on the ghia you clearly said that you were just going to weld the panels on and you didn't have interest or time to mess with it any further, and I knew you'd never let that ghia leave without finishing it lol you're the best, keep up the great work and keep posting

I like your reasoning on the rust repairs. The car will probably be pampered this time around. The car will still be around for another 60 plus years!

That " once over" wash job really elevated the looks of the car. Great to see your progress and great to watch you attack the body work!! Thanks again!!!

Great video Mike - I like the honesty throughout the video. Looks great and I think will last a long time if you add the drainage holes - without the sitting water, it'll be fine for many years. Have a great week :)

I'm amazed each time I see these repairs. Tack it on, trim it a little, whack it with a hammer, and ta da, factory perfect. The axle nut pin is different. I'd like to see you actually mix AG47. Maybe make a short vid of how and what you do to mix glaze and filler.

I’m always amused about your “good enough” comments. The end result is fantastic. You’re right about there not being many left. There are a couple of “late models” out my way. It’s fun to see them.

It wasn't deserving of a better patch repair anyways...it has hundreds ( thousands probably ) of hours of repair/prep work to make it worthy of perfect panel repairs.....it is what it is...and won't get done most likely anyways....looks neglected and sitting too long

I recall you could get those replacement panels many years ago; not sure if they’re available nowadays. My first car was a ‘69 and it had rust in the same places. They all rust exactly the same. Those pockets are a good place to spray Rust Converter.

You can spends days in one area when they are that rusty....there is a point of no return if you get too fussy ...one extra repair leads to 10 more around it....CT should get a look at it?? He could tear it apart quickly!! 😆

But you are never the less in luck if rocker panels are in good shape, - they usually are notorious !
